Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe came from the UK, we brought our EU plug converters however it didn’t fit hotel’s plugs. Receptionist gave us one plug converter. We as a couple tried to charge our mobile phone and smart watches with one plug. It was better than nothing but I think hotel should also supply usb ports in rooms as well.
Nice and clean place to stay, close to the tube station.

SwitzerlandThe air condition did not work properly. It was in May with peak temperatures of 26 degrees. It was very warm in the restaurant during breakfast. The room appliances, kitchen and sofa, are pretty old.
The double room was really big and quite. There were a kitchen, a sofa, and 2 TVs. Although, all the appliances were old. The hotel is in a good location that is connected to a few metro lines in 5 minutes walk. The breakfast included a standard, decent amount of options. The food quality was good.

DenmarkWe had a room with a kitchen, but with NO supplies at all… not even basic supplies as a glass or plate or cutlery… I found that very disappointing when the hotel offers a room with a kitchen. You would expect there to be at least some basic supplies…
Very nice and big room. Friendly staff. The hotel is very close to different metro lines to the city centre.

IrelandCleaning, WIFI connection, old furniture.
The location is very handy as there are plenty of options to move around the city and good supermarkets close to the hotel. The WIFI connection provided is very poor, it keeps constantly disconnecting, so not good for working remotely. The furniture is old fashioned and cleaning was not good as well.

BelgiumThe 4stars hotel depsite has been rennovate in his facade appear qutie old in the facilities. Doors, lights, shower very oldDust in the room, maily coming from the curtain. The shower was dirty of stain and embedded in the bath thus need to climb the wall to access - ont very conveniet for elder people. The towel quality very poor for a 4star hotel and with rip-holes. The shortest way to reach the Metro station is via a very dirty and not-racomadable-durign-the-night parking place.
The hotel is well positioned using the car/taxi. Personell educated and willign to help. very nice terrace and nice and bight breakfast room a the 8th floor

PolandThe bad impression started before we even arrived - I came to Milano, the city we love, with my fiancee for an anniversary of our relationship. A few days before arrival I sent an email asking if I could order some decorations to our room for that occasion. I never got a reply, even after sending a similar email from a different email address. As soon as we walked in to the room it became very clear that it needs refreshing. The smell wasn't very pleasant. The room looks really elegant on the pictures but it's a bit old when you see it live. Also, for a 4-star hotel it lacked some amenities - any other 4-star hotel we've stayed at had some kettle and selection of teas or even some basic coffee machines. Here there was just some water and no spoons, no nothing. I have some doubts about the cleaning service too - for example we ran out of toilet paper and we didn't get new one. In the bathroom there was stink of sewage too. And the last thing worth mentioning - although the breakfast was really ok, tomatos were horrible for some reason
Probably the biggest advantage of the room was its size - it was really big and also the decor was very nice but unfortunately only on photos. Location is also great - it took us a few minutes to get to subway and then around 10 minutes to Duomo. It's even closer to the railway station
