    We couldn't find fault.

The location, being 10 min walk to the town centre, was excellent with fabulous views of the valley of the temples from an extensive terrace. The whole apartment was like a mini art gallery. We enjoyed our stay and the Owner was very helpful and available but not intrusive.

This is a stunningly beautiful space, appointed with a fabulous collection of modern paintings and sculpture so tastefully placed for the penthouse setting. The marble bathroom and multi tap shower and the exquisite circular master suite (with a piano for a bed head) were luxury itself. The kitchen was avant garde in the round design with everything one could want! It was really a joy to be there and then there was the view… The huge terrace offers a magical panoramic view of The Valley of the Temples that took my breath away. But, the greatest delight of this marvellous place was the warmth and welcome of the host, Sergio, who welcomed me with a bottle of wine, and helped me with every imaginable question, gave me helpful maps and suggested great cafes and restaurants. He was a kind and elegant host in every way. This is among the best stays I’ve ever had.

Incredible view from a penthouse apartment overlooking Aggregento and the valley of the temples. Easy parking just out front of the building. Easy to get to the valley of the temples as well. And an incredible terrace.

Cons: Okay, these aren't cons in the way you're probably thinking... we adored the place but there are things you should know. We love art and that's one of the key reasons why we chose this apartment. If you have small children, I would not stay here. We were four adults and even we were concerned we might break something. It isn't just wall art - there are several sculptures as well. Also, there's only one bathroom. It worked fine for the four of us, but I'm not sure you could put any more than four people in this apartment. The couches are stunning, but more cool than comfy. Lastly, the kitchen has a fridge/freezer, microwave and range. There is no oven and the range is small. Think high end camping kind of range. Again, it worked for us as the kitchen was amply supplied (plates, utensils, cookware, etc...) but if you're thinking of cooking a five course meal then this isn't the place for you. It was just fine for what we needed - scrambled eggs with mushrooms and spinach in the morning to supplement the pastry run. Also, we were only there for three nights. Lastly, the door to the master bedroom is glass and doesn't close all the way so be careful when changing clothers. :)

Pros: 1) Where do I start? I'm not kidding. Seriously. The view would probably be the first attribute that I would call out. I basically spent time every day taking panoramic pictures from our deck/balcony. 2) Location - just outside of the downtown area maybe a bit more than a half mile from where the bus from Piazza Armerina dropped us off. Gabrielle had offered to come and pick us up, but it was so nice outside we decided to walk. This was an area where it's mostly locals - clean & safe. 3) Our host, Gabrielle, was the best we've ever had. He met us with a glass of wine and gave us tips about the area. We had been eating out every day for almost two weeks in Catania, Taormina and Siracusa so had decided to make some meals at the apartment. He showed us where the market was located, Penny market. Also, our son's #1 sight he wanted to see in Sicily was the Turkish Steps outside of town. We were there in January and the public bus/shuttle only runs during the summer so he said he'd check with a retired friend who did things like this as a side hustle. His friend wasn't available on the day we wanted to go so he took all four of us in his car and we had the most amazing time. Afterwards, he took us to a pastry shop down in the port town between Agrigento and the Turkish Steps that was unbelievable and then to the home/burial sight of Luigi Pirandello at sunset. On the way home, I'm not kidding, he asked if we needed more groceries and then swung by Penny market so we could grab a few things and then took us to a local bakery and bought us bread. The man's a treasure. I gave him over double what he had asked and still think it wasn't enough, but it was all the cash we had. All four of us agree it was the best day of the three-week trip hands down. 4) The art 5) Did I mention the view? :)

I can’t say enough how much we loved staying in this large, gorgeous and unique apartment. We were “wowed” the moment we walked in. I didn’t know where to look first, the amazing penthouse view of the temples and ocean or the creative decor and artwork… there was just so much to smile about. We chose this apartment because it was so close to The Valley of the Temples (the Temples are a must see), but what truly made this experience special was the owner/host Gabriele. Just incredibly nice, helpful, and someone I would be good friends with if I lived in Agrigento. He gave us fantastic dinner recommendations, surprised us with the best canolos, and we really enjoyed sharing some wine with him and hearing the history of the property. After a wonderful 2 days, he sent us to our next destination with a yummy croissant and cappuccino. Brava!

The kitchen was on the small side, so we opted for picnic-style meals instead of cooking. The single beds in the second bedroom were rather small for adults.

Ideal spot for exploring Agrigento. Very glad we stayed here. Great location with a huge terrace and panoramic views of the coast and the Valley of the Temples. The photos show well why the light-filled apartment is a unique delight - original artworks and 1960s décor, comfortable furniture among funky angles and curves culminating in an oval bedroom with a white piano (tuned). Easy access from free street parking outside and a lift in the building. Another unforgettable feature was the warm and engaging host, a local, welcoming us with chilled wine on the terrace, carrying our luggage and being generous with interesting stories and recommendations for exploring Agrigento.

Attico d'Arte was beyond our expectations, although the photos depict the apartment very well. The apartment is very clean & comfortable. There is a lift to the floor, so no stairs. The view shown is correct of The Valley of the Temples, so it is lovely to sit on the terrace & enjoy! Gabriele is a brilliant super host. From the moment we met him, he couldn't do enough to please. He has a generous spirit & wants to assist. He is a fine gentleman.

    We loved everything!

A beautiful, spacious apartment full of original works of art, with a huge, sunny terrace that gave us incredible, 180 degree views of the Valley of the Temples, (which are beautifully illuminated at night) and the sea beyond. The bed, set in an unusual oval bedroom, was very comfortable and the apartment was so peaceful, that we slept really well! Our host Gabriele was a delight. He made us incredibly welcome, bringing us delicious treats throughout our ten-day stay, and was always available with help and advice if needed. The location was perfect - just a few minutes walk along a tree-lined avenue to the historic centre of Agrigento with lots of stylish restaurants, bars and shops. There was even free parking right outside the apartment building. The ideal spot for exploring the Valley of the Temples and Selinunte by day and enjoying an authentic taste of Sicily by night!

    Nothing. Everything was perfect!

Beautiful apartment and wonderful host. We were greeted with a refreshing glass of white wine and given lots of information on local sites and restaurants. Our host even provided free cappuccinos at a local cafe on the morning of our departure. We were able to wash our clothes from a biking trip to Sicily and they dried quickly on the terrace of the apartment. Our only regret is that we were only able to stay one night. We hope to return!

Attico d’arte is a unique and special property . The property itself was spacious and full of light. Beautiful and amazing works of art are displayed in each room , it was a privilege for us to live amongst these special art works and admire them. A wonderful terrace provides a spectacular view of Agrigento across to the Valley of the Temples. Free car parking out the front and a lift to the apartment . Walking distance to the old town and restaurants . The host , Gabriele, was undoubtedly the kindest and most generous host that we have come across. We were warmly welcomed with wine and special Sicilian treats. Gabriele helped us to collect our bags and gave us so many useful and helpful tips on sightseeing and places to eat and drink. Gabriele was such a delightful and gentle man and really added to whole experience of living in the apartment and enjoying Agrigento . He certainly went above and beyond what one would expect gifting us more special treats , taking us to a private art exhibition and even buying us coffee on our last morning .

    We didn't like leaving.

The owner was fantastic, he was waiting for our arrival and collected our cases from the car and brought them to the apartment. There is free parking outside of the apartment, which is a bonus. The owner then took us through the details of the apartment, which is extremely well equipped, before sharing a typically Sicilian white wine and carbonated lemon juice. He then provided details of restaurants and cafes nearby and recommended places to visit during our stay. I haven't mentioned the view from the apartment which is fantastic and worth the rent of the apartment alone. You could spend hours looking at the Temples from the balcony, amazing. We had an lovely time and would definitely stay here again. The owner is the perfect host and gentleman. Wonderful.

I loved the apartment and its location, future guests need to know the kitchen and bathroom are small and basic and may be limiting for a long trip but were all we needed. This was far outweighed by the positives and the art gallery feel and outstanding views and location.

We stayed in Sicily for 10 nights in several great properties but this was our favourite. So much so, instead of spending all day at the Valley of the Temples we came back early so we could sit on the balcony and just gaze out at them. It was the last 2 nights of our trip so treated ourselves, and it was worth every penny. We were worried about parking after a few issues in the trip but our host had spend goodness only how long, waiting outside for us holding a space right outside the entrance. Alas as we went to park a sneaky driver pinched it, but luckily was soon politely persuaded to move. Not sure a UK driver would have been so polite. After carefully showing us round, our host then welcomed us with a glass of wine and nibbles ensuring we knew to call on him next door if we needed anything. The 8th floor apartment (there's a lift) was incredible, like staying in an art gallery (so really not an option for small inquisitive children). The views from the balcony were incredible taking in the entire Valley of the Temples and out to see and way beyond, just mesmerising and unforgettable. Both evenings were spend on the outdoor furniture in the balmy evening weather, just bliss. In a lovely touch our host dropped off some cannoli when returning the change from our tourist tax payment and sent us detils of local places to eat he recommended. The apartment has unobstructed views and is high enough up that traffic noise below is negligible. It is pleasant stroll into the centre of Agrigento, which was worth the trip. We opted to walk to the Valley of the Temples taking in the view, which took us less than 30 minutes downhill, ariving just after the ticket desk opened and with no queue. Boy were we glad we did because when we left at 1130 is was absolute bedlam with coaches and cars everywhere blocking the car park entrance and exit. Hundreds of tourist were queuing to get in, in the midday sun. Will definitely return to Agrigento, and stay here again.
