We were a party of four friends and hoping for separate beds. This had been difficult in all our accommodation, not just this flat . But here probably the only inconvenience was that one bed , a sofa bed was in the kitchen, where we could meet and relax. However for a family with two children the sleeping arrangements were perfect .All the beds were comfortable .

Ortigia is full of character and very walkable so the location was great . .Being slightly on the outer edge of Ortigia it was easy to find with good free parking in front of the building (and a cool breeze). When you have driven through the narrow streets of Sicilian towns and found parking impossible this was very much appreciated . We stayed in one of the self-catering apartments. It had a very well equipped kitchen and good bathrooms , all very clean and well presented . Our hosts were extremely helpful and welcoming , communication with them was perfect

No signs on the door or building so a little hard to find but follow instructions and it will be fine. The front door to the building is a large wooden double door that opens with a key the you have to walk (and carry your luggage) up a flight of stairs to the first floor where there is another coded locked door (again no signs and you will need a torch at night) Once inside the common room the apartments are all off the main common area. You can hear other guests coming and going.

The communication with Lisa was excellent. She helped us find a free park and showed us the apartment giving us tips on where to go for food and excursions. The apartment was spotlessly clean and nicely furnished with a few soft drinks and water in the fridge. The location was excellent at the edge of town.

The room is on level 1 so some steps, but the steps were very low and wide so easy to navigate.

We loved everything about our stay. Our hosts Mauro and Lisa were amazing, helping us with lots of information on where to eat, where to go even some tickets to a museum and a visit to the best sandwich shop in Italy. Super comfortable room and free parking out the front. They even provided free audio tour to download for our visit to the nearby archaeological park in Siracusa.

The property was perfectly positioned for us. Free parking immediately in front of the property, easy walking distance to everything, Lisa gave fantastic instructions and lots of recommendations to eat and visit. Free mini bar drinks was a lovely touch.

This was the most fabulous place to stay and Lisa was outstanding - we had a crisis and she was so supportive and with good advice and even brought us delicious food to sustain us. The apartment itself could not have been better located - quiet but a stone’s throw from the bridge and fish market. Great style, easy access and parking close by. A perfect place to stay in Ortigia and our enormous gratitude to Lisa. We will be back!

Mauro was welcoming and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable. Free mineral water was very welcome especially because the tap water tasted rather odd. The free drinks and snacks were exceptional, especially the Lavazza machine and capsules. We breakfasted on the balcony every day!

Fabulous location near all the activity in Ortigia including the markets. Many restaurant choices nearby and a great place to walk around Ortigia ftom. Car parking (free) right out front or paid carparking nearby. Beautiful room and facilities where you could watch the world go by from the balcony. Helpful host who recommended a fabulous place for a meal that she frequents. One of our best accommodation stops in the past five weeks in Italy.

Perfectly situated on Ortigia Island, especially if you will have a car. There is a free car park across from the building but also paid lots nearby should it be full. We received clear instructions for check-in and were allowed to store our bags before our room was ready. Communication with the staff was always prompt and courteous. They really care about service and hospitality and surprised us with unexpected touches. The two-bedroom flat is really spacious, beautifully appointed and comfortable for long stays. WiFi was strong was reliable. Ortigia makes for an excellent base to explore southeastern Sicily. We loved our four nights here and would definitely return in the future!
