From the moment of booking, our stay was a welcoming and delightful experience. Mauro our host was exceptional in making sure we had everything we could imagine needing and more. He even delivered a delicious home cooked pasta bake for our family! The property was exceptionally clean and well maintained. As a family traveling for some time now we made good use of the laundry and kitchen which had everything provided. We also booked the wellness and relaxation spa and sauna which was very nice. The location of the building was fantastic and the building itself is a beautiful historic waterfront hotel. Parking was free and very easy directly outside the building. A fabulous guide book is also provided on booking and checking in which gives the best recommendations for coffee, lunch, dinner, swimming spots and museums etc. Even though it was November we had a magnificent time swimming at nearby Forte Vigliena. The Archimedes Technopark with kids, a short drive away, was also fantastic.

Nothing, it was great!

The room was very clean and quiet with the balcony doors shut. The bed was comfortable as was the entire room. A large room by European standards with place to organize clothing. Nice mini-fridge with free drinks and snacks. Hauling our bags up the one flight of stairs was no problem. Perfect location for exploring Siricusa and Ortigia.

The position! It was perfect. Just a few minutes walking distance from the city centre. Easy park just in front of the historical building. The apartment inside was gorgeous. We loved it. We stayed only one night in Ortigia, and we had a great stay.

The beds in the 2 bedroom apt facing the harbor were super super hard. I don’t mind firm, but these were hard. But the linens were nice. Also the two apts we booked were not in the same building they were around the block from each other. It didn’t make a difference to us, but you may want to ask if that is important to you.

My group really likes to stay in apartments-more room to spread out. The place was clean. Our host was super kind letting us in a bit early to drop our luggage. It was a 23 minute walk to the archeological site (so much easier than taking the bus or trying to find a parking space) It was an 8 minute walk to paid parking, we had a big van (download the app to pay for parking-there was a con artist at the parking place posing as a garage attendant- glad we didn’t fall for it!) but there are free spaces right outside the place if you have a small car and are lucky) The apts were located within 18 minutes of EVERYTHING on the island. We had a great day strolling in the. Island

Nothing major but… it was a bit confusing - I didn’t realize that there were 2 sides to the property on 2 different streets. The entry lighting is a bit tricky on 25 Via Trieste. So it is dark as you enter at night. The light is Not automatic. The first banister is wobbly.

Make sure to have the entry and checkin steps understood along with finding the entry door. Once you get in the first time, all good.

Beautiful stay in Autentica Ortigia. Mauro was super helpful and sent us all the details prior to us getting to the apartment. He advised us where to park. Great things about the apartment is that its outside of ZTL zone and next to public parking. The place is at the perfect location. The ortigia local market is a block away. Everyday I went there for lunch and bought local spices. The place is walking distance to the historic center and all the restaurants. We stayed in a standard double bedroom. It was slightly smaller than what I had expected. The room had great amenities. The quality of toiletries and the room was top notch. The room had a small refrigerator and had free water & juices stocked up. We had a great comfortable stay.

The room matched the photos exactly and had a very nice feel to it. A lot of thought had gone into making the room comfortable e.g. enough power outlets, a kettle and lots of tea and coffee plus some sweet treats, lots of towels, and cute shelf-like bedside tables to maximise space with USB ports for ease of phone charging. The staff were easy to communicate with and super responsive. I wasn't sure how easy it would be to check in autonomously but the instructions were very clear and everything went very smoothly. We also enjoyed the complimentary mini-bar and the tickets to the puppet museum! The property is well located with the Syracuse train station but as it's on Ortigia itself, you can easily explore from there!

Everything was excellent!

A very good place located among the important monuments of Siracusa. Very clean and charming accomodation, exceptional welcome. After a long journey a plate with snacks and wine awaited us. Mauro told us important information and helped us with a taxi to the train station.We recommend Authentica Ortigia with great confidence.

The separation wall with the communal space a bit thin, but it did not disturb us.

Superb location in a house overseeing the harbour. Pleasant room with all amenities provided. Although overlooking a square with parking, noises did not disturbed us, double glazing installed. Good air conditioning. Info provided about breakfast and restaurants excellent. We were lucky to find a space in the free car park, but plenty of alternative options available.

Nothing to say—all was good!

The host was exceptionally helpful. We were at the close of 3 weeks in Sicily and a bit tired. His aid with location a driver, finding restaurants and local spots of interest, and clarifying any questions we had about the room made our stay easy and fun as we explored Ortigia, a beautiful small island with some of the major historic sites in Siracusa. If you want the ambiance of a valued traveler being hosted in an authentic Siracusa home, this accommodation is for you!
