How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Everything was perfect, but I’d I have to say something, towel were a little old and they would worse you about the stairs, just in case you’re old..

Great place to stay. we had the the room at the top with a sweet little private terrace. We arrived by car on Sunday and so didn’t have to pay the ZLT parking as we left it there for a couple of days. We had only light luggage so the long flight of stairs was ok and well worth it to have the balcony. very helpful host and great staff.

Not a negative for us but be aware that the b&b is over 3 floors without a lift.
Location was excellent. Lovely owner and staff. Clean spacious room, had everything you need. Very comfortable bed.

Nice area, parking was no issue. Unfortunately I forgot a jacket in the closet and the host assisted me perfectly and send me the package to Germany. Big thanks for that. Breakfast was also nice.

Everything was great, the only thing was the stairs going up to our room, but that was to expected as our room was the top floor, but we'd rather a few stairs in exchange for our gorgeous sunny terrace. Just maybe the top floor wouldn't be suitable for older guests.
Cala Peppa exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect, 10 minute walking distance to the centre, but still on a quiet road so we slept really well. Our aparment felt so spacious, with our own living room & gorgeous terrace where we had breakfast everyday. The bed was really comfy. We would 100% stay here again.

Nothing to dislike
The beautiful spacious room with terrace in an excellent location. I stayed for work en it was so relaxing to work from the terrace. The owner is very friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was great too. Best oranges ever. It is very central so close to all sites and marina.

Breakfast could be improved in terms of bread type Coffee and sweet intalian option was good
The localization is in the historical center of Palermo. Owner is very helpful and friendly. Bed was super comfy Room was very clean.

The location was great, very close to old city center (10 minutes walk), the rooms was spacious and same for the bathroom, the breakfast was good, the communication with the host very easy (and responded very quick to any questions), free parking in front of the location (the host explained about ZTL - tax for historical center), overall a very nice experience. We had a room (with balcony) on the second floor (no elevator) but it was still very ok for the luggage.

Parking in Palermo is a nightmare, be warned!
Comfortable and clean and right in the centre of Palermo it is a nice place to stay. Breakfast was ok too.

The stairs leading to the suites were narrow. Do not bring to much luggage. The entrance could be more welcoming .
Very good location where you are close to everything. We stayed at a suite with a very nice terrace. The rooms were spacious with comfortable beds . The host is very friendly

The entrance of the building could be improved but it was not an inconvenience for our stay.
Good location in the city center, bars and restaurants nearby, the host was very nice and friendly and gave us good recommendations.

We didn’t actually see staff (we talked via booking messenger) except the girl serving breakfast. Also the breakfast itself was kind of disappointing.

The towels I think that could be replaced because they were too thin, probably because of the use.
The location of the room as well as the size of it were a good value for it's price. The host was very friendly and helpful and he allowed us to check in a earlier, something that was very kind of him.
