It's a pity breakfast wasn't offered due to restrictions at the time of our stay. We missed a little fridge or minibar in the room.

A perfect location in the heart of Ortigia, a wonderful view worth-waking up earlier to catch the sunrise, clean and spacious room, a willing assistant, very nice. We decided to prolong our stay for one more day as we liked it so much.

The property is located in the heart of Ortigia, in a fountain square. Other sights are within walking distance, the car can be parked in front of Ortigia in one of the paid parking lots. Due to the current situation, breakfast was not available and the price was adjusted accordingly. Instructions for access to the room are provided in the form of a video, which makes access very easy.

It was super central, comfy beds and just what you needed for a short stay in Ortigia.

We were maybe a bit unlucky, but we got the room in the top floor that needed a little climb through steep, narrow stairs, that I would not recommend to everyone (read elder people, small kids, large luggages, etc.). Additionally, the room was very tiny; not a big deal for us, but taking clothes in and from luggages was quite a puzzle sometimes. Finally, the only window did not have any blind, meaning that at 6:30 in the morning you had the sun entering the room.

Communication with the host was perfect along the whole way. Easy instructions for self check-in also allowed for more flexibility. Location is simply perfect, in one of the most central and important squares of Ortigia. Room was clean, and air-co was strong enough to cool down the room in a few minutes.

- despite perfect location, it is located above a bar/restaurant on piazza archimede and therefore there is (a lot) of noise until 1 am + other noise throughout the night (trucks, motorbikes, etc)

Accessibility wasn’t the easiest (many stairs to climb), the room was not very big and there weren’t any wall windows. Still, there were windows on the ceiling which allowed us to get some natural light.

The room was super clean and bedding was super comfortable and fresh. It’s located just in the center of Ortigia which was great to get to the most interesting parts of Syracuse.

The curtains are very easy to fall down. It can be dangerous.

Owner was slow or non responsive to questions. Owner sent us to a parking that was €34 over night whilst many surrounding car parks were only €15. Breakfast was provided in a bar downstairs so not really a breakfast (a savoury pastry and a coffee, or sweat pastry, coffee and juice). We were charged €4 for a very small glass of orange juice because having a cappuccino (rather than coffee) meant that juice is not included, we were advised. At best very confusing and underwhelming. We did not feel the owner cared about our experience - so very disappointing.

We slept great here in the super-oomfortable bed and quiet room. The location is terrific, right across from the Fountain of Diana. The owners were very helpful with our last minute booking when there was a problem with another property's accomodations. Their recommendations for restaurants were fantastic. (Not that you can get a bad meal in Italy.)
