How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Toilet water flush was a bit noisy so I was a bit worried disturbing neighbors.
Very calm place, stays outside of busy roads and cars. Personalized breakfast, always fresh and tasty. Very good check-in experience with nice hints what to visit.

We arrived late the first night and it was very difficult to find a parking space. After that the parking was easy but we only moved the car during the day. Otherwise this place was perfect.
It was a bit hard to find, but once we found it,it was perfect! The bed was comfortable, the room was large. It had a dear little balcony overlooking the street. It had a separate kitchenette, with a fridge kettle and microwave, and it was well stocked with breakfast food. In addition there was breakfast available each morning in a breakfast space, which you ate in your own room. We had a table with 2 chairs as well as the balcony. The bathroom was good with plenty of hot water. Everything was lovely and clean. It was less than 10 minutes walk to the old town and there were restaurants nearby if you didn’t want to walk.

I took one point down for the noise early morning as next to us there was a construction - i am a light sleeper. Everything else was perfect!
We had an amazing stay at the property - it was always clean, breakfast available at any time in the corridor, and some snacks/yogurts, coffee and tea always available in the room. The location is perfect: close to the city center and the beach. The stuff was very nice and friendly. Free parking on the street was a good bonus.

We liked everything about it! The room was super spacious and spotless clean, bed and pillow super comfortable. We can say we had Italian (sweet) breakfast 24h (the room was equipped with bread, butter, jam, biscuits, water, yoghurt). It was also very conveniently located, 10 min walking to the old city center and 5 min walking to a big supermarket. And the host, Roberto, was super helpful!

The coffee maker was for capsules so it generates tons of waste. There were rolls for breakfast but no cheese or anything savory.
We had a very pleasant stay. The room was comfy and the staff was friendly. It was nice to have a fridge, a kettle, and a coffee maker in the room. I recommend the place.

The bed was a bit noisy as well as the refrigerator and one night you could hear the neighbors snoring through the walls.
Rita was a very reliable host and even sent us some recommendations for restaurants, bars and beaches. The B&B itself was easy to reach by car and by foot (if you want to stroll through the town). It was always clean and there are some options for breakfast in the room and even a little balcony for you to enjoy it. Additionally the A&C really helped to endure the August heat. Would stay there again!

Very tiny bathcabin. The bed was broken and not comfortable. The door of the common corridor - from which the doors of all the rooms open - creaked so that everyone woke up. You just need to oil it. Ridiculous mistake.
Good location, mini-breakfast.
