We had the gorgeous second floor rooms. But there is no railing for the top eight or so marbles steps. I would not recommend reserving this room if you are not steady on your feet.

It's such a beautiful place! Large bedroom and very large bath, with a balcony. Bed comfortable with great linens. Breakfast perfect. Massimo a wonderful host, listen to his advice!

Who cares what the food is when you’re enjoying that view! But, it was excellent. A wide variety, egg if you desired, cappuccino. Lovely tomato toast.

Walking from the long term parking lot with our bags was a big mistake. Mapping software was terrible. We walked up and down stairs for at least a half hour trying to find it. Take a taxi and get dropped off directly below the place and save aggravation.

Perfect location in Sassi Barisano. Massimo has three rooms, one downstairs and two upstairs sharing common lounge area. Our room had a massive bathroom, about the size of of the room itself. Room, via french doors, leads to a balcony that offers stunning view of the Sassi. Excellent breakfast, pick your classic Italian with coffee and cornetto (con crema if you wish) or something more substantial if you prefer. Massimo is one of the best hosts we had in our many years of travel. Very helpful, organised taxi from and to Bari airport, restaurant bookings, sightseeing recommendations and more. Couldn't ask for more

The location is spectacular for this place. It feels like home. Maximo did everything to make us feel welcomed, from recommending best parking, picking us up from the parking and leaving us there at the end of our stay. The room is spectacular we had the whole first floor for us with two bedrooms with everything you possibly need for a comfortable stay. Maximo helped us to even request a reservation for us in a very nice restaurant. He has a list of restaurant recommendations and they were great for us. This is a unique property because it only houses a few guests but also the garden is like a little oasis, there is not another one with a garden. The view at all times is spectacular and we felt as if we were in another era. Matera is a wonderful place and this stay makes it worth even more. Thank you Maximo for your hospitality!

The bathroom on the first floor room was a little dated with the fixtures (very small shower and squeaky floor) but the second floor has an amazing bathroom with soaking tub! the first floor room is also next to the kitchen so you may get woken up when they are preparing your breakfast. But at least you wake up to the smell of fresh toasted bruschetta-yum!

Location was right in the heart of the Sassi with an amazing view. The property has it's own garden which is an amazing touch - you have breakfast (included in the price) in the garden. The entire property is 3 rooms so for a family you can book the entire facility. Massimo the owner was super friendly, gave us restaurant recommendations was awesome. Would definitely stay there again.

Nothing, everything was perfect.

A beautiful property in the heart of Matera, with stunning views over the town. Luxury spacious rooms with character and a large balcony to enjoy the view of Matera. There is a lovely garden, which is unusual in the town, where you enjoy a delicious breakfast with great variety served by friendly staff. Our host was very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The B&B is in a great location to explore all areas of the town. The view from the balcony is truly breathtaking, especially at night as you listen to the church bells across town. It is a unique and special place and we highly recommend it for a relaxing, luxurious and memorable stay in beautiful Matera.

The MOST amazing hotel in Matera. The garden and view from my balcony room was incredible, especially magical at night. Management was very kind and thoughtful. Would return in a second as I didn't have enough time to see all of Matera.

Charming and comfortable accommodations with a delicious breakfast and outstanding host. The location was quiet with a lovely garden. All the places we planned to visit were within walking distance and a short walk landed you in the city centre with a multitude of restaurants and other shops.
