Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaSuch a nice host, Mariano. 😍😍 I liked this guy. He is kind and he explained everything in different ways! The room was really clean and quite. It has also the kitchen that is full of everything which are free such as juice, water, tea, cake, etc. We had a great time there. If I will come back to Italy, for sure I would go to this place again❤️🌹

IsraelThe location is a bit far from the main city atractions, so it's either about 30 min walk, or a bus.
The owner is extremely nice and helpful. He is full of advice and tips regarding Florence. The room is nice size and very clean. Nice neighbourhood. I would highly recommend this place, good value for money.

PolandThe stay at B&B IL TABERNACOLO was most enjoyable. The hospitality, smile and kindness of Mariano (the owner) made us feel almost at home. The check-in process went very smoothly. The place was very clean (including the private bathroom), everything was in its place and kept tidy. The room is quiet, you can sleep well and relax there. The location is very good: there is a minimarket and several restaurants nearby, tabaccheria on the opposite side of the street (you can buy bus tickets there) and close to the bus stop. In the shared kitchen, we were served delicious Italian coffee, tea and snacks for breakfast before going out into the city. Mariano's tips on the area and visiting the city (bus connections, bar and restaurant recommendations, etc.) were also very practical. I definitely recommend the owner and his venue :)

SwitzerlandLocation outside of the tourist center was pleasant as it allowed to relax a bit, the walk to all the hotspots is nice and leads along a street with many bars, restaurants and little shops/boutiques not overrun by tourists. The host is super friendly, helpful and always present. Excellent breakfast at the bar/cafe opposite the residence. Highly recommend and outstanding value for money.

UkraineAmazing and super friendly (!!!) host Mariano who provided tons of useful information about the area. Quiet and cozy place within a walking distance to the historical centre. Air-conditioned! Bus stops around the corner. Lots of shops and cafés around. One of the groceries nearby worked in the weekend. Very recommended!

SingaporeThere isn’t much to not like about this place.
The host, Mariano, was like a relative who lived locally in Florence. He was the best source for the best bus to catch, always attentive to details and helped with luggage up 2 flights of stairs. I also loves the coffee he prepared for us each morning.

United StatesMariano was great. This has been by far the best place we have stayed in, in Italy. Everything was super clean, you could tell as soon as you entered the room. Mariano gave us great suggestions when it came to places to visit and how to get around, and also places to eat. We will definitely recommend this place to family and friends, and we will definitely stay here again when we return to Florance. Thanks once again Mariano for everything!!!!

CanadaThe breakfast food was very basic. Accommodation on the third floor with no elevator can be a problem for older people although Mariano did carry our luggage to the third floor.
The host Marianno went out of his way to help us with travel issues. The room was spacious and very clean and at a very good price.

AustraliaThe street can be a bit noisy at night, and the air conditioning at times struggles to keep up with the summer heat, but the quality of the service provided by the host more than makes up for it - especially considering the reasonable pricing.
The host, Mariano, was very welcoming and non-intrusive. He was genuinely kind and eager to provide information about the local area, and was always available to answer any questions via messenger. The room was kept very clean, and amenities such as laundry and drinks in the communal kitchen space were provided free of charge. While you may occasionally hear others in the halls, the soundproofing between rooms was excellent. Major locations, such as the Uffizi and Pitti galleries, are a somewhat long but manageable walking distance away, eased by the scenic walk along the river - but public transport is also easily accessible. There are a few quality restaurants and convenience stores nearby - which, like the room, were very reasonably priced.

United KingdomWe stayed in two different hotels in Florence and this by far was the best! For starters, our host was so welcoming and lovely. He made sure to give exact directions on how to get to the hotel without even asking. On arrival, he also gave us a plethora of recommendations on what to do and see in Florence, and made sure we knew he was there if we had any questions. Honestly went above and beyond and we wish we had stayed here our entire trip! The actual room was beautiful and SO clean, the aircon was turned on for our arrival, and the bed was very comfy!! We love boutique-style hotels and can promise you won't be disappointed with this one. Also so many lovely local restaurants nearby!! Thanks for such an enjoyable end to our trip Mariano :)

ItalyThe staircase, but since I didn't haul my bags, I can't complain, except for a bum knee! LOL
I was greeted by the owner's wife, whom was so gracious. She even carried my bags up the staircase, which after a horrendous day at Paris Airport (adding 9 hours to a 24 hour trip) she was a blessing in disguise! The room was exceptionally clean, the bathroom looked like it had been installed that day, like new! It is very simple, but to grab a shower and crash, it is perfect! Marieno arranged my taxi to get to the train and as we waited he told me about the history of the building, the fabulous painting adjacent from his building, The Tabernacle of the Canto della Cuculia, where via dei Serragli meets via Santa Monaca, protected by a stone temple and the painting "Madonna and Child, Saint Paul and Saint Jerome" by Lorenzo di Bicci painted in the early 24th century. Hence the name of B & B Tabernacle. It was interesting and just the very thought of how long these buildings have been in place! A wonderment!

GreeceWe spent a night at B&B Il TABERNACOLO and we really couldn’t be happier with our choice. As we arrived we were greeted warmly by the host who explained everything, gave us directions and recommendations, and showed us our room. The room was clean, very big, and warm. We were worried about the location but our worries had no ground as many buses are arriving and departing from the area near the hotel. Our host answered every question we had and was very fast even in our online communication. Also, I want to share an experience we had that proves how great of a choice of accommodation is B&B Il TABERNACOLO.We lost one of our passports and didn’t know what to do as we would depart the next day .The host was so good and fast at helping us ,we were so relieved. He gave us instructions of what to do and called us a taxi so we can go search for the passport that arrived very quickly .Needless to say ,we believe that B&B Il TABERNACOLO brought us luck as we have the passport in our hands . The next morning, we were pleasantly surprised with freshly brewed coffee and pastries. Also ,the accommodation has only stairs(not that many) but the host helped us with our suitcases so don’t worry about that ! It is pretty close to the station Firenze Campo Marte so if you want to have a day trip like we did ,it’s amazing ! If life brings us back to Florence better hope B&B Il TABERNACOLO has free rooms because we would like to repeat our stay 100 times !

ArgentinaMariano was very helpful! He owns the building and takes care of everything himself. He made sure we had the roomiest bedroom, since we were staying for several nights, made coffee for his guests every morning and answered all our questions, even helped us get a taxi on our last morning. I would definitely recommend staying here, even though it is not so close to the city center, the walk there is lovely and Mariano's helpfulness is worth it.
