The 200 steps to walk down to the beach!! No iron in room , needed to request it. Not a family place, adults only. No elevator in the hotel so more stairs! They should offer apperative free on roof top every night so guests can see the sunset. We didn't even no they had roof top till we noticed from the beach looking up!

Beautiful property, friendly staff, right in center of town overlooking beach on cliffs! Spectacular Views. Breakfast was top notch! Best in our entire Italy stay as it had prepared food options as well as the standard Italian breakfast fare.

breakfast was NOT good. poor selection, not fresh and ran out of basics. I never want to eat special k again! house keeping forgot to leave us any towels and then all staff were uncontactable when we got back from our tour at 11pm and needed to shower. tissues and body wash ran out and wasn’t replaced even though we asked. no beach club. roof top bar never opened even though they told us it would on at least a Friday but no.

The hotel is in a limited access area so we contacted Bla Bla Car Park who were really nice and efficient. We had a bit of luggage but they helped us to take it in. Hotel staff also helped us take our luggage out when we were leaving...it would be ideal if they had a sort of trolley or something. Hotel doesn't have an elevator. This is not a problem in relation to luggage because the hotel staff make sure luggage is taken to and from the room for you, but it might be an issue for some people.

Upon arrival we were given a really warm welcome and immediately were taken to the ground floor terrace which has AMAZING views of the beach and the island. The decor is really stylish and the rooms clean and comfortable (especially the beds). Staff were all nice and gave us lots of info and restaurant recommendations and also contacted tuk tuk drivers for us. Tuk tuks are allowed in the limited access areas. But the hotel is surrounded by shops and restaurants and bars, although still in a quiet area somehow. Stairs to access the beach are not far. There is a nice roof top terrace that one can book a table at for sunset, they have nice drinks. We had a really good time at this place!

since the location is in a pedestrians zone only and you are no allowed to go with the car, they should offer a pick up service for the guests from a meetup point, walking on stones with a carryon bag during the summer is not the best.

The location where is positioned is amazing in the heart of Tropea and the view is amazing, exactly what you see in a postcard. The staff is well organized full of knowledge and recommendations they also gave us a gift made by a local artist.

Fantastic location with great view over beach from room (sea side room) and terasse where breakfast is served. Wonderful top roof bar with amazing view of sunset at vulcano Stromboli. Very attentive staff team who is helping with recommendation and reservation of nice restaurants in Tropea. - A holiday experience that we love to remember and we definitely will visit Palazzo Mottola again!

Our only complaint is that the king bed in our suite was incredibly firm = hard! Bring a mattress topper and you will have the best accommodations in Calabria.

Gorgeous Palazzo - the best location in Tropea, and our Acqua e Sale suite had an amazing view of the ocean as well as a long balcony. For how centrally located the palazzo is, we were so happy that it was incredibly quiet even while the town center might be loud just outside the building. Wonderful team working the property. They made reservations for us for airport transfers and restaurants, and they cooked us a communal breakfast every day. No coffee in the rooms but breakfast starts at 8 and if you need a caffeine jolt before then they will make a thermos of coffee you can take to your room late at night. So incredibly gracious, caring and attentive staff— Thanks Francesco, Eleny, and all! Don’t miss the rooftop bar- the views are stunning!
