Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyNot really close to the centre and finding parking nearby is not very easy.
The owner is very kind and available for various needs. Clean place with good value for money. There is public transport nearby, although we haven't tried it. Quiet area with various nearby activities.

PolandCheck in process could be little bit easier because b&b name name on entry phone is different than on booking. And slamming doors at the morning are little disturbing.
Everything was great, room is big and has all neccessary things. Neighborhood is safe and quite. Host is very nice and helpful.

Czech Republicthe bed was a bit uncomfortable for us, because we prefer hard matracess. we got tickets for breakfast before each they- owner could give us all at the beginning- it would be easier for everyone.
the location was perfect. the accomodation was clean and we got hygiene products included. the breakfast was in the near cafe, but you could choose any type of sweet croissant you wanted.

United KingdomMy stay in this property was complicated from the word go. I was visiting my friend who has moved to Rome recently. Dropped my bags at hers and off we went to explore the city, however I was summoned by the host to arrive for a check-in earlier (despite the check-in time between 16:00 and 21:00). The host was not available after 7pm on the day. Apparently I should have contacted the property two days in advance - no info on the site about it. Anyway, had to rush to check in, then got back to pick up my luggage later. Upon arrival - the room wasn’t ready - the light in the room wasn’t working, the towels were not on the bed. The furniture and fixings in the room look very dated. “The garden view” is slightly overrated - the little piece of garden I could see through the window is hardly a garden view. There is no tea or coffee making facilities due to electrical safety issues the host experienced in the past. There is no cutlery either, so if you want to have some breakfast in the room, make sure you bring spoons with you. No bathrobes, washing machine, ironing facilites (these ones are mentioned on the website but not available). The shower was pretty dire - the door doesn’t close properly (that was mentioned in one of the previous reviews). The shower holder was not working, wouldn’t stay up, wouldn’t hold the shower head. The shower head was literally falling apart. I have asked to fix the problem - they hosts replaced the shower head, the shower holder was still the same. The bus takes approximately 50-55 minutes to get to Piazza Venezia. Overall, there are a lot of improvements needed to bring this property to a passable level.
The room was decent size and clean. There is a nice cafe across the road at the main crossroads - decent coffee and good selection of pastries, salads and snacks

North MacedoniaI really liked the neighborhood and the apartment. You might need to catch a bus to go to the center and see all historic monuments, but the busses are frequent (even in late night) and somehow punctual. The apartment was clean and tidy. The owners were polite and helpful enough, which made our stay joyful.

UkraineShower door didn’t really close, so you always have water on the floor. And shower is too old and has a lot of mold underneath. Wi-Fi didn’t work, because owners have router in their apartment, there is no separate spot in B&B. Air conditioner and fridge were too loud. There was almost no storage space. One big wardrobe was locked, the small one was open. But we had a table in front of the wardrobe door, so we always had to move table to take something. There is a hole in the seat of one of the chairs. Breakfast: croissant and coffee (and you have to go to other place to have this “breakfast “) If you want juice instead of coffee/milk, you have to pay extra.
The owner is nice. The bus stop is next to B&B
