The apartment was fantastic. Clean, comfortable and very well equipped. The location was perfect and our host Valeria could not have been more helpful and welcoming. She left us a beautiful gift (a statue of the Matrangela after which the apartment is named) along with a bottle of prosecco, plenty of soft drinks and bottled water, fruit, cakes, biscuits, breakfast items, tea, coffee………….

The apartment was awesome. Great location in the centre of isolla bella area. Within less than 5 minutes walk to the gondola go go up to town of taormina. Valeria, the host was extremely awesome. Checked up on us quite often to ensure all is well. On top of everything, she left us with a lot of snacks (biscuits, candies), drinks ( coffee, softdrinks, orange juice) and even a bottle of prosecco when we arrived. Closer to our last days, she even refilled all the snacks and drinks and left another bottle of prosecco. I will highly recommend this apartment to anyone in a heart beat and will definitely stay again on return to taormina. Thank you for such an amazing experience....

Valeria and the guys at La Matrangela really made us feel welcome and were very attentive during our stay. The apartment is gorgeous (spacious, clean, comfortable) and perfect for a family to enjoy themselves and make themselves at home. From the apartment it's just a short walk down to a lovely beach and also a great local shop is nearby selling everything you could need. Also nearby is the cable car which takes you up into the town of Taormina which in itself is delightful. In short, everything was a perfect 10/10.

Very nice apartment in Taormina Centro. The sea view of the Apartment „la Terrazza“ was breathtaking!!! We thank Valeria, who welcomed us warmly and was always available for open questions. We can only recommend this accommodation and will definitely come back!!!

Amazing place, very cozy and spacious, perfect location close to Mazzaro beach as well as the cable car that takes you up to oldtown. The owner Valeria did everything possible to make our stay very pleasant. Filled fridge, fresh cookies, reservations at the lido and several restaurants. Amazing!

The best place we’ve stayed at during our Sicily road trip! Amazing apartment right above the beach and right under Taormina. The terrace overlooks the bay, makes for a wonderful rest. Valeria and her son are wonderful hosts, they welcomed us personally and left a huge amount of food and drinks in the kitchen for us to freely have during our stay (never seen so many free groceries in any accommodation). They also worked hard to get us a reservation at the popular nearby restaurant. All in all a fantastic experience, couldn’t recommend it more! <3

For anybody considering visiting Taormina and staying at the Mazzaro beach area, this is the place for you. Ideally located a 5-minute walk down a vine-covered stone walled path to the beach the place did not disappoint! Clean, spacious comfortable with functioning AC ( we needed it in the heat), a balcony with a view of the bay, wifi, a functional kitchen with a fridge full of cold water, soft drinks, prosecco, fresh fruit coffee, and other snacks we felt completely pampered. After a day at the beach below or in town above ( accessible by a short gondola ride a 3-minute walk down the hill ) the apartment was the perfect place to unwind. the icing on the cake is the exceptional hospitality provided by the hostess Valeria. With true Sicilian hospitality, she met us upon arrival and departure, gave us instructions on the house, and was available 24/7 in helping us navigate the town, get restaurant reservations ( amazing fish restaurant on the beach a must), beach accommodation, and arrange transport. She did so with warmth, humor, and genuine concern for our enjoyment. Cant wait to come back
