Beautiful surroundings with Mountain View’s yet near to Dorgali. Very clean and the food was superb.

It was very pleasant stay! Hotel is located in stunning area, unfortunately only accessible by car. Room was very clean and has interesting design. We're very recommended hotel's restaurant, traditional sardinian food in the beautiful garden! We will definitely come back someday!

Hotel Barbagia is quite amazing. It is very simple and down to earth yet with a lot of character and style. Being away from any traffic noise, there is absolutely no sound to interrupt your sleep (except for the occasional donkey which is welcome). No need to switch on the aircon either - just leave the terrace door open for the night and let the mountain breeze cool you. The hotel boasts one of the best restaurants around with locals frequenting. Staying here, you have no need to worry about where to dine. Similarly, the breakfast buffet is rich in choice with sweet and savoury food, fruit and (seriously) the best coffee! Lovely place run by lovely people! I have enjoyed every aspect of my stay here and I like to think that I will come again.

2 days of rain (obviously no fault of the hotel) internet to rooms was very intermittent

The buffet breakfast provided many choices, and everything we tried was delicious. The location is very picturesque, with a rural outlook and views to the magnificent mountains all around.

All was perfect. The only thing I would work on was the Wi-Fi in the rooms. We did not have any in ours. As the phone signal is so difficult in the mountains so we are unable to use our direct signal from our home net. WiFi worked perfectly in the reception and restaurant spot. This would be the only thing I could recommend to work on to maybe make the WiFi sign stronger to cover all rooms. ☺

Absolutely beautiful and small hotel located beautifully in Nature. Spacious and very nice rooms. Very welcoming stuff and beautiful coffee and breakfast. A big parking space to park your car. We will definitely come back when next time in Dorgali.

It was the birthday of one of us and they managed to arrange a special dinner and a customised ice cream cake. The facilities are very beautiful.

The noise from hotel terrace was very disturbing. You could still hear people laughing and talking at 1am ! The walls of the bedrooms are not soundproof as advertised, The noise from the adjoining room echos .

Breakfast is plentiful but lacks a bit imagination.

Location is quiet and feels like an agriturismo but close enough to Dorgali and also Cala Gonone. Good AC in the room, excellent restaurant with a beautiful patio area to relax and enjoy the food, we had one of our best meals in Sardegna here! Staff is engaged while seeming almost a bit shy, always very sweet and helpful.

Very nice place to stay! Staff is very friendly, rooms are comfortable and clean. Especially the restaurant is fantastic! Great Italian food and great service! Reservation is reccommended as people from outside the hotel are welcome at the restaurant too.

The one thing I did not like is that my caffellatte was served in a wine glass (why?? :), other then that maybe I expected a little bit more nature around the hotel (taking about expectations that I got from the website listing), but overall really nothing to complain about.

Breakfast was good, a buffet with a nice variety of sweet and savory items (as a kind suggestion I'd say it would be nice to include some local Sardinian cookies or pastries). The hotel is conveniently located near Dorgali and the staff was extremely kind and helpful. We appreciated the locally handcrafted details (ceramics and tapestries) to be found in the rooms and restaurant. If this hotel had a pool it would be perfection :)

One absolute no go : Single use plastic cups in the bathroom and at breakfast. Just put normal glasses in the bathroom and at the breakfast buffet. Unfortunately the rooms are very badly soundproof. We could hear nearly everything our neighbours did, from talking, to snoring, to their phone ringing. And they were an elderly couple, so not noisy at all.

Super friendly staff. Beautiful exteriors with a gorgeous outside dinning area. The rooms are a bit small but very nice although the style is a little bit old fashioned in my opinion. Cleaning staff does a great job. Very good breakfast, the best we have had on our 2 weeks round-trip of sardinia. Restaurant for dinning in the evening also very good.

Great location close to the cala ganone where you can start boat excursions to the beaches of Orosei. Close to the Su Goroppu and other hiking trails. Hotel is surrounded by the stunning landscape of the national park. Room was clear and had everything we needed. Breakfest was fantastic (both sweet and salty). We had a dinner in the restaurant and it was also a great experience of the local sardinian cuisine. Highly recommended!!!

It's behind a mine. You don't see it, but sometimes you can hear it during (working) days. Beds were a little bit hard for our taste as well.

Nice accommodation in a peaceful and beautiful garden. Clean rooms with a private terrace. Feels like sleeping on a farm. Very good breakfast and we had an amazing dinner. Even the locals come here to eat at night!

There is a quary closeby that intermittently generates high levels of noise, which do not allow for the peace you look for in a hotel in the mountains. The air conditioning unit is right on top of the bed, not ideal. Breakfast is nice but does not feel homemade as sometimes you would expect in small rural hotels. The music in the breakfast room appeals to some guests, that is down to personal preferences.

Very friendly and attentive staff, make you feel at home. Clean room and a small patio which is very private. The hotel restaurant makes good food although a bit pricey. Very beautiful garden and curated details in the outdoor spaces.

The sheets smelled just a little too strongly of perfumed detergent. The road just before the hotel was dark and quite uneven so proceed carefully. The room feels dated compared to the exterior. With a bit of updating, this place could be really amazing.
