How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The communication with the staff was fantastic! We had some last minute requests and they made it all possible! The appartement is very cozy and we had the best view all over Turin. We really enjoyed our stay and if we ever come back to Turin, we will definitely come back to this place! The location ist perfect as well. The bathroom was very small and difficult to share with so many people. Due to there being five of us in the room, it was difficult to find places to store our large luggage. There were issues with the steam from the bathroom setting off the fire alarm for the entire building. We were warned of this but I don't think it should be something that a guest has to worry about. Our room looked onto the street and the trams run through the night. The noise kept me awake at times.
The property has been renovated recently and is very contemporary. It had good kitchen and laundry facilities and could accommodate our family of five. There are also good facilities near reception for friends or families staying together. The reception staff were helpful and support staff were available overnight.

Everything was quite nice perfect. The whole minor thing (which is really really minor) is that if people are very very loud in the corridors you might listen a bit to it and if the electricity goes down and comes back up the room makes a "blip" sound which is not nice if it happens during the middle of the night. However, these are 2 really minor things that I'm sure rarely happen.
Bemate exceeded my expectations quite a lot. First of all the hotel is very central. The check-in was incredibly smooth and the hotel had a nice public parking in the back. The room is incredibly big and spacious. Also feels super comfy. During the whole stay the hotel always recommended me places to go and communication was quite easy.

Parking is an issue, since you have to use public parking - cost is around 35 Euro /day, but save and nearby the place The shower cabin could be more spacious - but it is pretty common in Italy

The only thing is that the toilet flush is noisy.
Location is convenient. The property is very new and clean with fully equipped amenities. The room is very spacious. We liked it a lot!

Would be nice to have a Nespresso machine and at least a couple of bottles of water in the fridge. Balcony furniture would be also nice to have.
Brand new, spacious, clean, with washing machine 👌🏻 Everything is comfortable. Excellent location between train station and city center. I’ll be back.

All was fabulous.
The apartment was immaculately presented, very modern, very light and warm, quiet and in an excellent location. We even had a large balcony. The staff were very friendly and helpful and it was lovely to have staff at reception from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm. The coffee machine by reception was a bonus. The apartment was a short walk to the train station and there was a great Lidl supermarket nearby. We could not fault this apartment. We loved our stay in Torino and would thoroughly recommend this property.

There was no easy sign board of the hotel name at the front door, and same type of the key pad at the next door (goods entrance?) so I tried to logon at the next door for some time.

Very well located, centric yet in a quiet street. The apartment was clean, spacious and had plenty of natural light. You could find all the amenities one might need during a trip. The staff was very communicative, kind and helpful at all times, and also suggested some very nice cafes/ restaurants in the area. Great experience, highly recommended!
