Bellagio il crotto is a stunning place to stay. Everything about it is beautiful, including the view it's unbelievable. The house has everything you will need and is furnished to a very high standard .The owners are so nice and really helpful, giving great advice on places to eat etc.We didn't want to leave and will definitely return.

We can't think of a single thing to dislike as long as you are happy with the short walk into Bellagio.

The house has been lovingly renovated to a very high modern standard, with everything provided for a very comfortable stay. The sliding doors from the living area to the terrace mean you can enjoy sublime views of the lake, the Rockafeller estate, and Pescallo from inside or out. Roberta was very welcoming and showed us around the house, gave some great tips on things to do, and was always on hand if needed. We particularly liked being able to escape the hustle and bustle of Bellagio to an oasis of calm within a gorgeous 10 minute walk.

We loved everything about the house and the owner. The only thing that could have been better is if it hadn't rained the first day and half, but the house was equipped with more umbrellas than we needed and it was still a drizzly 70 degrees so we ventured on into the rain with smiles.

We loved everything about the house! The beautiful home has an unobstructed view of a lovely mountain range and part of the lake. Only trees were in the way of a full view. The property is a 12 minute walk to beautiful downtown (via a small walkway that saved time) where we caught the ferry to see other towns. The home itself was extremely clean and the kitchen had everything you needed to cook for yourself if you wanted, two lovely bedrooms, a huge sliding door that was not only floor to ceiling glass, but also all windows and that door had electric privacy shades at the touch of a button. We were greeted personally by the owner who helped us with our heavy luggage and she took a lot of time to show us about the house. We were given a bottle of sparkling wine, cold water and thoughtful snacks. When we arrived the first afternoon it was raining and she took us shopping with her to a local market where we stocked up on some food and gave us some sightseeing info and places she recommended to eat. She was helpful in every way! It was like be hosted by family.

That we couldn't stay longer.

This is a wonderful modern and well appointed holiday home in a beautiful and convenient location. We loved relaxing on the patio with the amazing view. You can easily walk into the centre of Bellagio for restaurants and ferrys. We swam in the lake just down the lane from the house and there is also a nice restaurant very close if feeling lazy! We had our car and the parking was very easy and secure. Thanks to the friendly owners for being so welcoming.

Absolutely LOVED our stay here and we will be back! Beautiful property in a very peaceful and scenic location. Roberta is the most wonderful host, so very helpful and kind - picked us up from our bus drop off spot on arrival and took us to the ferry on leaving. Told us the best places to shop for grocery supplies, eat out, go swimming, tours to go on, best places to visit in the area (in our short time there). The cottage had everything we needed and more, welcome snacks and a bottle of prosecco! Did not want to leave (that's how much i loved it)!

Roberta our host was absolutely amazing and so accommodating. The location was absolutely perfect and the house and the grounds were beautiful, even more so than the pictures. It truly was a perfect stay and I'm a pretty picky. Will definitely stay there again. It felt like we were living in a fairytale, the most beautiful view. Close enough to walk to the city (beautiful walk to get there) but tucked away enough for privacy and to slow down. Highly recommend.

For me, the 15-20 min walk into town was tough, but I am mobility-challenged. The rest of the group had no difficulty with the walk, however. The hard surfaces made sound reverberation a bit of an issue. Although the bedrooms are very nicely separated, not much goes on without everyone hearing everything

Il Crotto has magnificent views in every direction in a tranquil setting which we enjoyed from the spacious terrace, watching the play of light on the lake, listening to birdsong. Our host is one of most helpful people I have ever met. The stone farmhouse is renovated with high-end finishes, a big, modern kitchen and huge windows.

Roberta and her family have created a real gem in Bellagio. The house it’s absolutely perfect, equipped with everything you could possibly need, in an ideal location for discovering Bellagio, yet in a peaceful & quiet area. It’s immaculately clean, with brand new appliances, the beds are very comfortable. Not to mention the views are breathtaking from the whole house. Excellent private parking with EV charging. It was one of the best holidays we’ve ever had and we’ll definitely be back. Thank you Roberta

Beautiful place to stay, very nice view over the lake directly from the house, parking lot at the house, easy access, completly equipped kitchen, HVAC, heating - everything is very new and working properly. Some old wine grapes in the garden - relaxed atmosphere. Roberta is very nice and offering a lot of help and support during the stay, highly appreciated the nice conversation….

Villa is fabulous on an elevated position with picturesque views over the lake. Peaceful and relaxing location 10 mins walk from Bellagio centre/ferries dining etc Villa has everything you could need and more. Villa is spacious, spotlessly clean and modern yet keeps Italian rustic charm I chose the Villa based on previous reviews on booking.com and was not disappointed. Roberta is the best host that you could ever wish for. She collected us from the ferry and took us personally to the Villa. She kindly arranged a reliable driver to take us back to Bergamo airport at 2.30am for our departure to the UK Roberta explained clearly and patiently all the aspects of using the Villa and how to navigate to surrounding area with points of interest etc Roberta is a kind, attentive thoughtful and genuine beautiful person to have met and I would not hesitate to recommend her wonderful villa
