Nice property with very clean rooms, excellent breakfast and really friendly service. It’s near to Taormina and the property offers free usage of the beach facilities at beautiful pirata beach.

cement yard in front of our balcony was a bit unsightly; you also need a car to reach Taormina. Would be nice to include a beach voucher in price.

The unit was accessible by walking up 20 steep steps to a rather small (18m2) room with a queen size bed. We were fortunate that the hosts assisted us by carrying our suitcases, etc up the steps for which we were truly grateful. However, the room was not really large enough to also accommodate our two large suitcases. (No Lift available) (Our room (102) was more comparable to a hotel room than a unit, except for the large size of the separate bathroom and toilet. We booked what we thought was a double room. In reality it was a single room . . . therefore. Please define a Double Room There was only one chair and a small table in the room which contained an electric kettle, no toaster while there were another two chairs and a small shelf on the balcony. The unit also contained a small fridge which was only large enough for a few essential items with the temp. being not sufficiently low and non – adjustable. The unit simply lacked bench space to put anything. As an example, I had my laptop located on top of my suitcase in order to make these comments. It is worth noting that the unit next door had a larger room with more furniture, etc to place things however, the bathroom was smaller . . definitely more preferable. The other slightly irritating thing was that during the bright sunshine and heat of the day, the host did not put out, what appeared to be an electrically operated awning that would have provided some shade from the bright sun. The breakfast was simple “ continental “ at best (No buffet provided). Rating: 7/10

Belle Vista was located close the town of Giardini Naxos, at the end of a steep road which provided great views of the waterfront and beaches of Taormina. Free Parking was available outside the property. It was the great views of the bay ( minus the railway yards) that was the major attraction of staying at this property. The lower town of Giardini Naxos had few shops and supermarkets. You will need a car to drive to the Cable Car in Giardini Naxos (Cost: 10 Euros/adult return) in order to reach the town of Taormina, higher up the mountain, where most of the restaurants, cafes and shops were located.

I wish it was clearly stated that the distance from BellaVista to Taormina centre is quite far and difficult to walk. When we saw 2.2km we figured it was easily walkable. It is NOT. We luckily found buses and taxi’s (on our own) but it would have been nice if the host put out some options for us upon arrival before we had to inquire about it. Also, there was an ant problem from the moment we arrived. It was somewhat uncomfortable knowing they were crawling on you in the bathroom and bedroom.

The view is beautiful. The breakfast was amazing. The host was kind.

We found the host to be quite rude. Everything seemed like an inconvenience to her. We felt very uncomfortable even asking questions.

When it states that it is so many feet from the 'center of Taormina', it is only if you don't mind hiking UP 500-800 FEET to get to Taormina center. The alternative path for us was a rental car which took about a 15-20 minute drive through windy roads, and then look for parking. This didn't bother me but may be of concern to many people. With that said, there is yet another alternate path UP by driving about 5 minutes to the cable car parking (pay to park) and spend 3 Euros per person each way to take the cable car UP/DOWN to/from Taormina.

This is actually not a 'hotel' - it's more like renting a room in an AirBnB but the owner/manager and service lady were very nice and helpful.

The location is quite ok, Its required from you to walk uphill and its not the most convenient thing to do at the end of the night. Farthemore the breakfast was very poor. There is no one in the apartments that can answer our needs.

The view was amazing, the residentsl were very beautiful.

The location of the apartment is below the centre of Taormina. You have to go 30 minutes uphill to get to the centre. Near the appartment there is no restaurants etc. Also I do not like if the staff is looking at you while you eat during the breakfast and observe what you eat. It was not pleasantly.

The appartment is clean and comfortable. During the cleaning the staff also touched my things and put them on other place. This is unacceptable for me. I will not go there anymore.

long steep walk to Taormina centre - impossible unless you are quite fit and definitely not in the dark as quite dangerous loose stones and drops - but it’s possible to get a taxi instead which takes a few minutes and costs 20€
