How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Noisy - I could hear my neighbours loud and clear very early in the morning; the pool was dirty

The parking is for small cars or for skilled drivers only as the spots are quite narrow. The bathroom was okay but the showerhead could not be properly adjusted.
The room was very clean and quite nice. The balcony and the view of the sea and to Cervo were awesome. AC worked well.

Noice from other roms, broken toilet (water pouring) and beds too hard. Could have been ok of the price had been lower.

Poor AC, the swimming pool is not very clean, room is very small and I was missing a little fridge.
Great location, near to the sea, nice and friendly stuff, nonstop reception.

As mentioned in other comments, the rooms would profit from a makeover. But all was clean, tidy, comfortable. I prefer good comfort over posh design!
The hotel was located in close distance to the old town of Cervo and the beaches. It was easy to find and easy to reach. The staff was very friendly and supportive: the friendly lady at the reception desk, the assertive ladies who were serving the breakfast or the young man who patiently supported me with parking of my big family car in their narrow garage. I am happy to go again. And kids are very welcome!

Resturant you have to pre order meals .. but area have good resturants in 700 - 1000 m
If you come by car parking is a killer. Hotel have undergrund for tiny cars … 15 euro … suspekt parking lot 300 m away ..

Uncomfortable to arrive by car (no place to stop to unload the car), room size was ok, but the bed was worse than bad.... sad room... bathroom super small, shower didn't stay still..... as a summary, luck of attention for details..... put a proper bed, fix the shower, take off old furniture and it would have been a nice room (a night side table would be appreciated)
Nice swimming pool, garage parking, even though a bit expensive (fair enough as it is impossible to park in the surroundings). The position was ok, walking distance to sea side, cervo, etc

They gave us old and small room in the other old side of hotel. The room was not even close to what it looks like in the photos

The lady at the reception on the morning shift was unfriendly and wasn't very helpful, but the rest of the staff was always helpful and very friendly. The room was not clean, the garbage can in the bathroom was full and was smelling, the shower was not clean and the room was with hairs and bugs. Overall was not worth the money. The mattresses in all 3 rooms are old and it was impossible to sleep.

The staff was not very service minded except the guy working night in the reception. Parking in garage was not smooth as we had to walk in and out of the garage to tell the reception to open the gate. When you arrive at a hotel you expect a welcoming atmosphere and helpful people. We felt the hotel only wanted to charge for the nights and nothing else. No minibar in the room, breakfast outside in the warm sun and unreliable AC just to mention some other complaints.
Good location close to the beach.

First we got a room straight to the road which was not isolated. We could cry. So we requested another one. All the rooms (and so was the hotel) are really old. Our toiet was not flushing. The breakfast was without any love. The staff not friendly at all. The price was far over the 100. They should feel ashamed calculating those prices for this poor quality
The pool was really good, but that was the only good facility
