Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyA nice little hotel close to the centre of grado (5mins per foot) and also to the beach (10 mins). Our room was clean and spacious and due to an upgrade it even had a little kitchen. The hotel has a little playground in the near of the lobby and the breakfast room so our daughter could play while we enjoyed the great coffee and the varied breakfast (raw and cooked prosciutto, Salami, various cheese, sweets, etc.). Fully recommended

Czech RepublicThe hotel was the most expensive one on our trip. But the prices in Grado in the main session are high... but higher than in Venice? This is the only negative thing to mention.
We stayed in Grado at Lacroma Bio Hotel at the end of our bike tour. It is a nice, clean and modern hotel with very friendly staff and very tasty breakfast. We enjoyed our stay, the location is good, near to the beaches and the city centre but quiet at the same time. The hotel offers a garage to park our bikes.

SloveniaVery cosy apartment with two bathrooms and a nice balcony. The app. Easily accommodated 4 persons and there is a extra single bed. Nice and clean. The location was great as it’s in the city center. You can also use the hotel bicycles for strolling around. Bicycles seams to be the main mode of transportation in Grado.

United KingdomThe biggest issue we had while staying at Lacroma Bio Hotel was the air conditioning. There were two rooms in our apartment, but only one of them had an AC unit. During the night that room would be adequately cool (23C), but the main bedroom would be a bit warmer even with the door open (25C). They also shutoff the air conditioning in the whole hotel Sunday morning when most of the guests were checking out. Around 8am, the unit started blowing hot air into the room and we weren't able to shutoff the fan. It was close to 30C by the time we were able to get out of the room with our belonging. We were sweating and uncomfortable. When I asked if the AC had broken, the woman at the front desk said that it had been shutoff. I was a bit surprised by this response. When I walked in the hotel at 11am Sunday (after checkout time), the AC was back on and the hotel lobby was cool again. It seemed they wanted everybody out. Also, the bathroom was setup for someone with disabilities and was not great. The toilet bowl was oversized without a proper seat (only a plastic cover) that wasn't very comfortable. The shower floor was level with the rest of the bathroom floor and would create a bit of a water mess. We chose not to purchase the breakfast as it was only some fruit, fruit juices, cheese, and meats. For 15 Euro/person, we decided it didn't meet our needs and bought items from the grocery stores in town. Finally, parking is a major issue at Lacroma Bio Hotel as you are limited to street parking. During the offseason, it probably isn't a problem, but during August parking was a big concern every time we needed to leave. We got lucky the night we checked in at 12midnight and our last night at the hotel, but that was the extent of our luck. It took me 20 minutes to find a spot on Friday and Saturday mid-day that were a half mile away from the hotel (another 20 min walk).
The staff was nice and helpful. We had a slow drain in the shower and it was fixed the same day. We had a very late check-in that went smoothly with the help of the staff who pre-arranged access to our key. Grado is a great resort town with plenty to do and see. The restaurants were nice and the beach was great. The room was adequate for our needs.

AustriaBreakfast was a tad too small. Breakfast room had no window. Communication with staff was very hard, since 90% of them spoke almost no language but italian. Breakfast room would be better if it had a window. Shower cabin far too small for big and strong persons. No power socket by the bed. Bus terminal in front of the hotel is rather noisy, night and day.
Served food mostly tasty and fresh. Clean rooms. Bidet.
