Everything! It was a last minute weekend break and it turned out fabulous even beyond expectations! The owners made us feel super welcome and they gave us great advise about the surrounding. We loved the breathtaking view and the dinner was delicious! The swimming pool area is just wonderful!

Nothing to fault.

Everything. You couldn't hope to stay in a dreamier place that provides some of the best views of the Tuscan hills, warm hospitality from the owners, wonderful food at the restaurant and a lovely pool which is large enough to swim and do lengths. No plunge pool masquerading as swimming! It felt like I was visiting friends and immediately felt at home. Returned to England feeling totally zen.

Beautiful place, incredible views and great location (very close to San Gimignano but comfortably away from the tourist crowds). Very friendly staff. Very spacious room too and tastefully decorated. The pool was great. Overall, really good value for money and felt like a v special place.

I would have loved if a small breakfast was included as there is barley anywhere to eat breakfast in the town.

The views were amazing, unit sized rooms with kitchen, dining and lounge. The pool was stunning and the dinner too.

Charming villa set in the beautiful Tuscan landscape run by amazing hosts! Exceptionally clean and well presented apartments with great facilities if you want to cook yourself. The swimming pool is refreshing on a warm day and the home cooked dinner which is offered on some nights is an absolute must. It’s a short drive along a gravel road to San Gimignano which can be a little dusty in the warmer months however the views are exceptional. We would definitely stay here again.

It's such a beautiful place! The hosts were amazing. They look after their guests. We booked for three days, but we extended to 5 as we loved the place!!! 😍 The cottage we stayed was perfect and secluted. Lots of wildlife in the surroundings.

The ideal location to take in the tranquillity of Tuscany but also see the major cities in the Tuscan area. The villa is beautiful and an early morning swim was a refreshing way to start each day. The true gem of this property is the family that own it, they welcomed us with smiles and hugs, and truly made us feel like we were home. We can't imagine staying anywhere else in San Gimignano.

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon. The staff here are incredible. It's a family run business, and the family are incredibly helpful and welcoming. Our "room" was really several rooms (very large) with all the necessary amenities for a five night stay. It doesn't have all the trappings of a typical hotel (e.g., room service, towel replenishment, etc.), but we did not really need any of that during our stay. You can arrange for a small breakfast in the mornings, and they serve a delicious dinner three evenings a week (all for an additional fee of course). Again, the family are very nice about giving travel advice around the region and were lovely all-around. We had a great honeymoon!

It was perfect

Our stay are Il Borghetto was unforgettable! Thanks to Sandra, Nicola and the rest of the team, we had an excellent time - they really make you feel at home! The dinner at the hotel on Friday night was phenomenal. The location of the property is ideal, right in the center of everything. Every morning we had crossaints from the local bakery and coffee on the terrace. I cannot recommend enough. We are looking forward to coming back. Thank you Sandra and Nicola!

You couldn’t ask for a more perfect and picturesque Tuscan stay! Beautiful property and pool, super friendly staff and the best location near the town of San Gimignano. Would absolutely recommend and would come back in a heartbeat 💓 plus their dinners on site are incredible with stunning views.

Windows/doors in our room did not have screens which meant you could not open them due to the mosquitos. This is not an issue when you visit in the summer since they have AC in the rooms. But we like the fresh air and the nights in early September offered perfect sleeping weather. Next time we will bring a king sized, no opening mosquito net. Most rooms have large wood beams that allow you to loop a long lanyard with a hook to hang a net.

Staff was wonderful. Simona gave us great tips on where to visit to get the most out of our trip. Many persons there were repeat customers who have been coming for +10 years. It is quite and slow paced, just the perfect place to unwind and meet nice people.

The place is really beautiful and well maintained. It's a piece of Tuscany as we have imagined and seen on moves where we managed to relax perfectly :) Our room was an amazing and very spacious apartment, which was very comfortable for our 3 day stay. The hotel is owned by a lovely and very friendly family, who meet the guests, serve breakfast and 3 times per week cook delicious dinners.
