The check-in and checkout times are insane (check in 16 vs check out 9:30). Also there were a lot of pegions on the roof of the house, which makes balcony dirty, something should be done to scare them away from the hotel area.

The hotel has a very nice area around with great white sandy beach and very clean sea area. There is a pony and a pig living in the area and they are so cute. The personnel was great, helpful and always smiling. The houses were very nice and we got a free upgrade for the sea view which was astonishing. Breakfast is also very good.

The rooms are getting outdated. The big kitchen in the apartment was quite empty and wasnt very useful. No salt/oil/tea/wine glasses/dish towel etc, nothing to clean the dish. We travel with kids/babies so prefer to cook sometimes but it wasnt comfortable here. Perhaps I would pick cheaper 4-room. Laundry is overpriced.

I am fan of tennis thus one small item: tennis court was not ready even if I booked it day ahead. Finally I played but with delay… but it was only one time issue. Not big deal.

The evening food is quite expensive not very tasty but there are som many tavernas and other restaurants around that that was not a problem at all

The hotel is very nice and clean with a big swimming pool. It located on the hill so there is 5 minute walk to the beach but they provide the transport with an open electric cars. You only need to ask for it.They serve a nice and big breakfast and during a day you can enjoy (if you want) some animations form the entertainment team.

The communication provided provided by the hotel needs to be considered. There was a shuttle bus that travels to Tropea but we we didn’t find out until it was too late. Information wasn’t proved about hotel activities either. You need to look at a board at reception that can easily be missed. No info was provided about restaurants close by. An email should be sent to guests before arrival about facilities and activities.

I had the most amazing stay at this property. My only regret was that we only stayed there for 1 night- I wish we stayed longer 😞 The rooms were fantastic (we booked a quadruple room) the resort looks very new and the rooms were super clean. The pool area is stunning and the day beds are super comfortable. The water in the pool was fabulous. Not too hot and not too cold. Access to the beach is convenient and the hotel provides a buggy service down to the beach. The beach areas is lovely. You can sit on the free lounge chairs and the water is super clean and clear. We arrived at lunch time and we were able to have a nice lunch at the hotel next door on the beach. We had a lovely dinner at a restaurant 200 m from the hotel (opposite the car park) If you are arriving by car, parking is super convenient. The layout of the hotel is lovely too. Everything is close by. Breakfast was great with a good selection of pastries, juices, cereal, breads and bacon/ eggs.

The only negative we found was that chairs in rooms and on balcony were making a noise when moving them on the floor. This can be heard from neighbouring rooms.

Very nice hotel on amazing place. Close to the beach (about 250m downhill, possibility of "shuttle bus" to/from beach free of charge). One big "Thank you" to the hotel staff which was absolutely great and always helpful. Awesome breakfasts!

The property is exceptionally well kept, classy and yet comfortable and family friendly. Both poolside and reserved beach front are very nice, clean and welcoming, as are the restaurant and bar. Staff are professional, friendly and helpful.

They changed some things since the last time I came. I hadn't noticed before that dogs were allowed. Most dog owners were polite but for the first two days they had an apartment with two dogs that barked all day, starting at seven in the morning. I would like to suggest that you reserve specific rooms for guests with dogs, because I don't like to be in a room that has had a dog before me. Before, Dona Canfora's guests shared the beach with Gambiano's guests, it was convenient, now on the beach, Dona Canfora's space became tighter, as they separated the two. But none of that made our stay bad, we love staying at Dona Canfora.

It's the second time we've come and we intend to come back. Our kids asked to come back.The beach is beautiful, the pool is wonderful and it is very convenient to have a kitchen when you have four children. Delicious cocktails by the pool and I wanted to congratulate the bartender who made a very good caipirinha. I only drink caipirinha at home with my mother's recipe. Caipirinhas in restaurants are horrible, but the barman Dona Canfora made a very good one that pleased my demanding palate. Dona Canfora is a sweet summer memory with my family!

Rooms need a bit of makeover to be in tune with all the rest, maybe improve the check in process to understand better how everything works, many services were unknown.

It’s a beach front property but the beach is not literally in front. They do provide a golf cart shuttle.

For food it might be better to go elsewhere like la manitta. But plenty of options around.

Beautifully located, white sandy beaches, looks like Azia. Staff is amazing, beds are comfortable and the salt waterpool is great. Will come back here!!
