Beautiful and quiet rural area, very well refurbished and maintained borgo. Rooms are comfortable, lovely and tastefully furnished; you feel at home immediately. Alessandra, the owner is extremely hospitable and friendly, warm personality and she gives good tips what to visit and where to eat. We will certainly come back.

Borgo Solamore is a very unique place, a small hamlet of old homes immerse in nature, with lovely views, extremely well restored, cozy, tasteful and spacious. Everything was perfect. Breakfast and dinner included. Very welcoming and professional hosts, we highly recommend it and we will do our best to return.

The Borgo Solamore is a gem! We got a little lost initially, but once we found it and met Alessandra, we fell in love with all of it- she and her son are wonderful people, and the grounds are gorgeous! She is the quintessential host, offering her best suggestions for experiencing Cortona and beyond . We genuinely treasured our time in Cortona at the Borgo Solamore. We hope to visit again one day ❤️

Beautiful property near Cortona! The most wonderful and warm hosts, Alessandra and her son Gianmarco, made us feel some welcome. They had the best tips for places to visit and restaurants to go to. Our apartment was lovely and had everything we needed. We had a wonderful stay!

Only thing to mention is quite narrow road for the last 2-3 kilometers where you can miss the borgo. A couple of simple direction road signs could be helpful.

Ideal family "agriturismo" style is very close to what Borgo Solamore is, with its authentic rooms, warm and caring service and lovely breakfasts and dinners. We had great time by the pool which is clean and deep. The room was large, well equipped. Small but fully supplied kitchinet. One can say that the place is "far from everything", but for those who value nature, family time and can drive, it is a great experience..

Everything was perfect.

We only intended to stay for 5 nights, but immediately extended our stay as we were so taken with the beauty and charm of this wonderful property. Allessandra and Gian Marco were perfect hosts, warm and funny and so welcoming to our family. They gave us wonderful tips on the area as well as insights into local culture and food. The breakfast was exceptionally good and our children looked forward to the different pastries each morning. We were lucky to experience two perfect Tuscan dinners prepared by Allesandra, paired with local wines recommended by Gian Marco. Incredible!! The pool was a welcome relief from the intense summer heat and Gian Marco was so gracious in keeping it lovely and clean and topping up the water after our kids had splashed about so much (sorry!!) I feel like I can’t say enough wonderful things about Borgo Solamore. You must experience it for yourself!

We loved everything.

First off, Alessandra is amazing. A gracious host with encyclopedic knowledge of the surrounding areas, she was invaluable to us during the stay. The grounds were beautiful and the lodging chic but quaint. It’s a Tuscan escape with beautiful views and an amazing atmosphere. Breakfast was excellent and Alessandra handled all of the gluten free needs of me and my mom!

Borgo Solamore was a dream. Alessandra and her son have created an authentic Italian villa high in the hills of beautiful Tuscany. It was stunning, relaxing, and comfortable. We met some of the kindest people during our stay. Breakfast was HUGE and lovely. I enjoyed the yogurt, fresh fruit and coffee while my husband devoured 3-4 cornettos and freshly made bacon and eggs. The added bonus was Pinot, the precious little pup on the property who greeted us with kisses. It is a bit of a bumpy off-road ride to get there but nothing our rental couldn't handle and the views were well worth it. Our last night, Alessandra made us a four course meal with a regional red that was just incredible. Although I had to roll myself onto the plane the next day, 10/10 would stay again!

Such an incredible accommodation on the hills above Cortona. It is so peaceful and quiet with amazing views of the valley. The owner and her son made us feel so welcome and went the extra mile to check in with us about everything which made the stay extra special for us. The breakfast was delicious and super filling, as was the dinner at the accommodation restaurant, great value for money! 100% recommend, thanks for your hospitality!

Hard to think of anything!

Everything, especially Alexandra and Gimmimarco!!! They couldn’t have been nicer or More gracious and hospitable. In the morning at our fabulous breakfast that was included, We said what our plans were for the day and Alexandra got out pen and paper and with exuberance told us exactly how to do it!!!! Gimmimarco is so passionate about the things he loves in Tuscany that we couldn’t help Smile and love it too!!! You really do feel Like you’re staying with friends. The setting is peaceful and the pool refreshing:) Gimmimarco I did not sneak in late at night as I had proposed. Take care you two and all the best.

Beautiful and peaceful location run by the most hospitable and nicest family. it's more of a couples retreat than for families with young children but they were incredibly accommodating regardless. Obviously people that genuinely care about their guests.
