Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaEverything was amazing and the apartment itself was a treat. The photos don't do it justice. If we weren’t travelling down the Adriatic coast from Udine to Puglia, we wouldn’t have known about, let alone stayed at this incredible place. A world heritage site, Urbino is a 15th century walled city located in the Marche region. We only stayed one night here, but lucky for us it was a Monday, so this awesome airbnb was available for us to stay in. Because of it’s Palatial and historical vibes, it felt like we had been transported in time. Would just love to come back and stay here again. As the Airbnb guy Roberto said on our departure, “You get to live like a King or a Queen when you stay here” and he was certainly not wrong.

Hong KongOnce-in-a-lifetime experience staying at a room within a palazzo. The apartment has all modern facilities and lots of fabulous artwork and artefacts, a music hall as well as a dining room. Unbeatable location two minutes from Palazzo Ducale. There is a garden for guests’ use as well. Cannot think of a better place to stay when visiting this Renaissance city.

United KingdomNothing.
Fantastic decor and space - it is huge and just as sensational as the photos suggest. Also the location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Urbino. Maria was very helpful, particularly in explaining how to park in the Mercato Carpark and pay to stay 3 days plus getting a 2€ ticket to park outside the apartment for 30 minutes to unload the luggage. Returning to the Carpark and buying a 0.5€ ride up the elevator (go to the info office in Carpark and they’ll sort it out for you!).

United KingdomUrbino is a bit hilly but we expected that.
A jaw dropping apartment with painted ceilings and a room that looks as if it is 1600. The glass chandelier is unbelievable. An artist's dream, such are the art books available. Right near the the Ducal Palace, it is very central and within easy reach of the bus station. Would highly recommend.

Italyparking. Booking.com should explain clearly that before entering the town with a vehicle, one needs to get short term parking ticket from large parking lot outside walls. we may get a ticket because we failed to do this on arrival. no screens on windows, mosquitos a bit of a problem, nothing else not to like, if you appreciate antiquities. If you want AC and level floors, and institutional decoration, go elsewhere
the apartment is gorgeous. like staying in a museum with modern conveniences. short walk to ducal palace and duomo. convenient to everywhere else

United KingdomA few dessert spoons would have been handy. And the ceramic hob took a bit of working out. A few handy written instructions for the appliances would have been useful (it's easy to forget what you've just been told about the kitchen gadgets when you're gawping at chandeliers). But that didn't stop us cooking up some truly fabulous meals :-) and dining like princes. Did I say that Urbino has a fabulous food market as well as lots of lovely food shops?
If you see this wonderful apartment is free for your dates, book it immediately - don't hesitate! You will be astounded by the magic of it – a beautifully and sensitively restored 18th-century interior with all the modern comforts. Luxurious doesn't do it justice. The views from the bedroom windows onto the garden (yes, you have a lovely garden with a viewing platform) and off into the gorgeous Marchese hills are breathtaking. And right on your doorstep is the city's wonderful Renaissance square flanked by the Palazzo Ducale. You couldn't have a better spot in Urbino, or more delight. I envy you your stay!

Czech RepublicUnfortunatelly - I had to be there untill 15,30 - after that the lady didn ´t have time. It is a bit stressful, when you are on holiday. Parking is possible, but you have to buy ticket (cheap - 2 Euros) to get to the center, take the baggage and then go by car to parking. Tha appartment is really historical - piano, many books....but I was there alone, and felt the history a bit more (not really afraid, but...)
