Great location in a great town. And the host was very attentive and helpful. Looks all recently refurbished so all is excellent condition.

As this is a 4 star hotel The breakfast could be improved (more food selection, improved choice and possibility to have some items displayed as buffet) - also more flexibility with time (currently only 8-10). Also there is no private parking and finding a public parking slot near the hotel is almost impossible (best option is around 10 min walk away so nothing major but should be stated in the description under parking)

We loved everything about this property, the owner, staff, and location. If you are anywhere near Castiglione del Lago, this boutique hotel is a must. We felt like honored guests here. Paolo and his family made our stay so comfortable and welcoming we didn't want to leave!

Nothing - it was perfect

The staff is incredible, they really do go above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable. The rooms are beautifully modern, with all the latest amenities: very large showers, comfortable beds, and extremely elegant finishes. The location is unbeatable - in the historic heart of Castiglione del Lago, with incredible views of the lake surrounding it.

Very clean and modern admitted. Balcony was a nice plus to wake up to the small business opening up everyday.

Updated and modern feel in the “castle.” I could easily stay there weeks and be happy.

Location was in middle of town. Paolo was so friendly and helpful-he worked hard to make sure we were comfortable and happy! Breakfast was great. Our suite with deck had an amazing view. But it was really Paolo that made it all wonderful!

The only downside was the air conditioning in the room, which was pretty ineffective.

We had the Lake View Suite with jacuzzi and it was amazing. Paolo was a fantastic host as was his son who picked us up from the station. Paolo booked us a table for dinner in a local restaurant which was very good, as was the breakfast they served on our terrace.

Wifi signal quite weak in the bedroom, but didn’t affect our stay as every other aspect was excellent.

Paulo , Roberta and Matteo were extraordinarily helpful and welcoming. We were upgraded to a room with frescoes, facilities all very modern. Food good . Roberta has adjoining shop with elegant ladies and men's fashions. Matteo collected us from station ( no taxis in Castaglione) and Paolo drove us 20 minutes into Umbrian country to meet friends at their house for dinner and offered to collect us at end of evening - all without charge. Excellent recommendations re local food and activities in town and Isola Maggiore.

Leaving as we only had booked a one night stay.

From the moment we arrived at the "back" door we were met by an accomodating Paolo where nothing was a problem. Right up to the moment we left where our bags were packed into our car for us, the family where simply amazing. It was home away from home. It was my wife's birthday and there was no problem in making her feel special and when she came down for breakfast a crossaint and slice of chocolate cake awaited with a lighted candle. This isn't a 10 star review. It's 11 stars.

Host Paolo’s excellent customer service. he was very kind and generous to us. He introduced excellent bistro and restaurant. He kindly helped to carry our luggages to the parking lot. I am very sure that this hotel is the most comfortable in my journey. I would like to go this hotel again soon. Also, Im looking forward to seeing you again Paolo and hope see you next year at your new hotel. Thank you very much

Fantastic hotel in a perfect location The best part of the stay was the staff Paulo checked us In Paulo served breakfast Paulo was there in the evening Pauli is everywhere all the time and always happy He took great care of us but beware He WILL try to get you to eat too much at breakfast 😂😂😂 I love this little hotel I would definitely go back

It was such a wonderful stay in an exceptional hotel in the heart of a beautiful city. The hotel staff may have been the friendliest people we had ever met. They also helped us with every thing we could have ever needed; from cutlery at midnight, to giving us recommendations in the region, to lending us an umbrella on rainy days. Could not have asked for more, and will definitely re-visit!
