Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Germanythe air conditioning was loud and since it was 37 degrees outside and not much less at night, we had to keep it on at night. difficult to sleep with the noise… the hotel does not have the latest standards of modernity but it’s fine.
the room was good, clean, quiet and big. big pool. the breakfast was great.

United States- Guests smoke around the pool, gardens, the outside restaurant. If you are sensitive to smoke this can be an issue. - Staff doesn't speak much English or German. Considering the touristy prices this was very shocking. - Housekeeping doesn't provide fresh towels, even if you leave some on the floor. - Reception works very slow. If you need to catch a flight and are checking out at "peak time" you should allow plenty of time. - The cost of bottled water / lack of water fountains (other than the one by the closed pool) is an insult. - The internet is slow and not secure. - The AC system is somewhat outdated. You will need to talk to reception to make some change in the central controls and even then the rooms don't really cool down much / quickly. - The thermal bath are is nice but 1) there isn't any information about the mineral composition. I am not sure whether this means that you are basically in a hot-tub with added salt rather than a real / natural thermal bath 2) the railings to one of the baths are extremely shaky and an older gentleman almost fell over 3) there is no staff in the thermal bath / sauna area - Dinner and lunch was mediocre at best (both in terms of food quality and service) and definitely not worth the a la carte prices. All in all the hotel is nice and we had a fun few days, however considering the prices paid for the hotel as well as the spa treatments I wouldn't recommend this location to my friends and family in light of the experience as described above.
- Nice pools, with all sorts of water jets / bubbles etc. - Clean rooms and facilities - Large room with a comfortable bed and large bathroom - Solid and tasty breakfast - Good location

United KingdomThe negatives - our main complaint is with regards to the front desk. It was only really one girl on reception (Irene, brown curly hair and blue eyes), but that girl created a lot of frustration. 1. We booked a transfer in advance with the hotel from airport to hotel. We were told the taxi driver would be waiting for us in the airport with our name on a sign. When we arrived there was no one with a sign with our name on it, despite our flight coming in half an hour late. We sat there for 30 mins to see if the driver was just late. We then called the hotel to ask what was going on. It turns out the hotel had given the taxi driver the wrong surname to put on the sign and we had been standing next to our driver for the last 30-40 mins without realizing. The taxi driver then got a call from the hotel saying we were his passengers and then we set off. 2. We called the front desk on the second night to ask for an iron. We were told we were not allowed an iron and that we had to use the laundry service if we wanted our clothes ironed, which we would have to pay for. 3. Our room was quite hot. It was 24 degrees on two of the days we were there at Easter. We called the desk to ask how the air conditioning works as it wouldn’t go lower than 18 degrees (it did not feel like 18 degrees) on the control panel in the room. We were told that’s as low as it goes, but that they can turn it off completely from the front desk if that might help to make it cooler. It didn’t seem to turn off despite asking to turn it off. After another hot night, we called again and spoke to a different person who actually told us, because April counts as a ‘winter’ month, the air conditioning doesn’t work and that the air conditioning in the room is actually only blowing out hot air even on 18 degrees. 4. When we initially arrived at the hotel, we asked to book another taxi from the hotel to the airport at the end of our stay. We confirmed the time for 10:30am on Monday 18th.
The positives - spa facilities are fantastic, the rooms are spacious and modern with lots of storage, the breakfast is possibly the best out of any hotel we have stayed in, the live music in the bar on weekends is very good, and the staff are very friendly.

United Kingdomno room service menu on any apps, I asked a question on their online message service and didn’t get an answer, so having technological things are a bit of a pointless service. The arrival process was a little rocky as the receptionist’s English was basic but that’s understandable, it was more booking.com wording when booking that isn’t clear regarding payment / tourist tax break down. The rooms are a little dated in the annex and not really worth the amount we paid but the facilities of the hotel make up for this a bit. I would prefer a printed map with the services etc on as Wi-Fi wasn’t amazing to access. breakfast has a lot of choice, but for dinner go next door to the hotel maximillum restaurant lunico, great value and nice people amazing food.
the spa, swimming pools and facilities are excellent, the beds in the room are massive and the cleaners are great.
