How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Nothing really. It is a struggle if you come with big heavy luggage since it are narrow stairs. Just to keep in mind.
The location was on point. Paid Parking close to the entrance of the hotel. Owner is super friendly and helpful on WhatsApp

Main entrance door catches sometimes and can be awkward to open.
The location and directions provided were excellent. The facilities were exactly what we were looking for, lovely airy room with really comfortable bed and great en-suite. Everything was impeccably clean and we would definitely recommend.

I had brought a large suit case and I had to be careful to drag it up the stairs when leaving.
The location is down a small pedestrian side street that is less than 5 minutes walk from the main multi story car park. The area of the city allows for practically zero street parking for visitors. OMG what she did with her garden area was spectarular !! The mattress was all in one - not one of those 2 piece jobs and I enjoyed the sofa for reading at night. My room looked out over the small street outside and I love that. Its was idea

Would be nice if there was a kettle in the room as you have to go outside to get to the kitchen

The shower is a bit tight but water pressure is perfect
The host is amazing and very accommodating - loved the location . We loved the court yard where you can chill and -the kitchenette which is fully equipped - a perfect guesthouse

Carmen’s place is perfectly situated if you like to dive into Cagliari’s city life. It is located in the super cute nighborhood of Villanova with its beautiful square San Domenico where you can enjoy the typical Italian piazza feeling with nice vine and food restaurants. It has many art places of Cagliari’s art scene, from drawings to jewellery and more. It is also close to the historic center: you can walk to all these places and a parking is very close to Carmen’s Guest house. Carmen’s place itself is nice and clean and the bed was really comfortable. Carmen was always available and gave us many recommendations regarding where to have an aperitivo, dinner, go to the beach and was also helping us with a personal matter. We definitely recommend Carmen’s place if you want to discover Cagliari and also stunning beaches in the south west and east of the Island. Grazie mille, Carmen.

Would have loved to have a private fridge in the room. But you can use the one in the common kitchen!
Perfect location in the old parts of town, within walking distance to tons of restaurants, stores, supermarkets and bus stops (20-40 min to the beach). Clean facilities, a nice garden and a very friendly and helpful host!

Amazing little guesthouse right in the city centre, but far enough away from the crowded tourist streets. Nice little garden, kitchen with espresso and everything you need. Very comfortable beds. Daily room service. Amazing place to stay.

The location was very convenient, short walk to the old town. A little oasis under lemon trees. Spacious room, quiet thanks to sound proof windows. Little kitchen with coffee machine, biscuits, and fridge, great design and plants/flamingo theme

There is nothing to write here.
I really enjoyed the stay. The rooms are clean and cosy and there is a wonderful patio, where you can eat your breakfast and have a cup of coffee. Honestly, I chose to stay at Carmen's for the second time and I don't need to look for any other place. If I want to come again to Cagliari, I would like to stay only at I'MC!

The bathroom in that room she gave us is too tiny. Could't even just turn around
