How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Nothing! except the no parking but this is expected when staying in city center! Paolo gave excellent directions on where to park and how to get to the property.
great location, easy walk to central piazza. clean, updated rooms, comfortable beds and linens. discount card for reduced admission to some of the sights and discounted parking was nice!

Contact with the manager was primarily through booking.com, and so we missed contact with him as we arrived in town. We were able to meet up within a few minutes, though, and got settled in.
The "hotel" is in a remodeled 18th century building, updated nicely and with all modern conveniences. There's hardly a better example of a medieval/Renaissance town than Assissi, and the Camere Colocci is off a narrow, medieval street, quiet and pleasant. Excellent views out the windows, good sense of security and safety, and close to the plaza where everything else is--shops, restaurants, and sights from the Roman period onward.

It can be hard to find, especially if you don’t have cell data to contact the host.
Perfect location to walk around and experience Assisi. The room was plain, but the host was kind enough to upgrade our space to a larger room due to a vacancy. My favorite part about the space was opening the windows for the beautiful sights and sounds.

Very kind host! He met us earlier than the scheduled time because it was raining. Beforehand he gave us exact directions how to get to the place.Paolo gave us recommendations for restaurants to eat at. There was coffee, tea, cookies in the room. Everything was great!Thank you, Paolo!

Wonderful B&B! We loved our stay. The room was the nicest of our four week trip in Italy and had the comfiest bed/pillows. The room was clean and spacious and the bathroom was nice and very clean too. Host was lovely and helpful and good with recommendations. Also provided us with plenty of coffee pods and tea for our stay. There’s a Nespresso machine, jug and mini fridge in the room. Apartment is close to the main Piazza in a fabulous location to walk around the town. It is about a 10min walk on cobbled streets with suitcases from the car park, but worth it in my opinion (and it’s the same as all other accommodation in Assisi as you can’t drive in the town), once you’re there it’s the best location. Assisi itself is beautiful!! Would stay here again for sure :)

The steep cobblestone streets/stairs in Assisi are challenging. However, I found a work around to get to Piazza Matteoti... walk along street from. Main square to the elevator and walkway for the parking lot.
Great location in 'via' behind Piazza del Commune with steps leading down/up. Very comfortable accommodation. Paolo is a knd host, proud of Assisi, gave tips on where to eat. Thanks for everything.

Very nice and prompt staff. We made the reservation the same day of our stay and the room was ready really fast and the host came to meet us in less than 30 minutes. He offered us recommendations about places to visit and eat in Assisi, a discount card and a map. The room was very clean and the air conditioning was a blessing given the high temperatures in July. The apartment is positioned in the city center, we didn't need a car to move around since all the sights were reachable on foot. It was a great experience and when we come back to Assisi, we will definitely stay here.
