How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The room was pretty small but comfortable
Everything: the position, so close to the main theatre (for the FEFF!) and to the city centre. The owner was so warm and welcoming, i felt staying at my own home. I really appreciated how clean was everything in the flat!

The only disadvantage were small bathroom (tiny shower) and lack o shelf, and that the apartment was on the last (6th) floor.
Clean, nice apartment with the mountain view. The owner was really nice and welcome. Generally I recommend this host and the room, and I'll probably go back during the next visit.

The stairs! This is a top floor apartment which I missed when booking;will 6 full flights impact your stay? Charging points in the room were largely on a light circuit so no help- one full power point behind the wardrobe. I could have asked about this but had a workaround so didn't.
Nice Air BnB style room with ensuite. Very nice lady owner, with good English. Fully equipped kitchen and nearby Aldi & Spar. Room & apartment very clean & felt secure. 10- 15 minute walk to city centre

Leftovers from the previous guests, the fridge was litteraly stuffed with it, from rotten fruits to the yogurts expired last year that we found in one of the cabinet xD
Elona is very attentive and helpfull host, very easy to communicate with Great location,by foot it takes us just 7 min to the main bus station and 15 min to the city center. Neighborhood is quiet, grocery store is just around the corner The appartment is very well equiped: washing machine, 2 bathrooms, all the kitchen stuff and as a bonus a terras on the roof :)

I didn't realise there were so many flights of stairs to the property and carrying a full suitcase up was something of a struggle! The flat's location is very near the main road and railway lines, so there is noise at night, though I got used to it after a couple of nights.
The property is 5-10 minutes walk from the train and bus stations, which was very convenient for arrival, departure and my many trips around the region. The area is a fairly short distance from the historic centre of Udine and it is easy to walk there a couple of times a day (the city is quite flat, so walking isn't tiring). There are shops, cafes and bars very close to the property, in case you don't want to go into the centre.

The apartment has a nice location within walking distance from the city center, my stay was for 15 days and I will choose it again, with the private bathroom I have my privacy, the kitchen was clean and equipped with all necessities. The host was really kind and offered to use the washing machine as well, which I need, I use the kitchen frequently and never had a problem.

it’s a room in an apartment so there will be other guests in the apartment as well as the landlord. the apartment is on the top floor so be prepared to climb a lot of stairs (5th high floors). the bed is a little too soft. the shower room is very small.
clean room in a apartment, close to the train station and city center. nice staff let me to check in earlier than scheduled time.

Because of a train delay I got stranded in Udine for one night. Even after very short notice Elona provided a very comfy and clean room in her apartment and let me use her kitchen to cook my pasta. She also let me leave my bicycle in the sicure bicyle room in her building and got up very early to open the bike room again so I could catch my early morning train to Villach. I had a very good experience and would highly recommend this accommodation :)

I believe the room is a little overpriced considering what you get. Note that the apartment is on the last floor of the building, with no elevator.
