The resort is perched on top of a hill overlooking Gaiole in Chianti, with amazing views. The room has the perfect amount of Tuscan charm and the overall facilities are wonderful. The staff is very friendly and helpful. This is an exceptional property.

Staff was extremely friendly. Love the idea of having a wine dispenser. Enjoyed their wine. Lovely location (although it was a tiny bit challenging to drive back up the hill after dark). Overall a fantastic experience.

I wish there was an option for food on the property after breakfast but there is a wine vending machine that dispenses their wines.

The breakfast was small but delicious. It’s not a buffet style. Staff makes you eggs with a side of fruit and coffee and breads. You can ask for side of prosciutto.

The hill to drive / walk up to the resort is very steep! As dinner is not hosted onsite, you have to venture in to town for a restaurant or grocery to get food. Late at night it can be tricky to get back.

What an amazing and BEAUTIFUL resort to stay at. The grounds, wine, breakfast and rooms were remarkable. My favorite was enjoying a glass of wine (or 2!) at the infinity pool. We stayed for my birthday and they even had a birthday candle in my breakfast pastries to celebrate.

Everything was PERFECT. We stayed only one night and regretted it immediately (we were road-tripping around Tuscany so never stayed at one place more than 1 night due to tight schedule). The place and the view are breathtaking, the staff is so kind and welcoming, breakfast was outstanding (since there are only 7 rooms in the whole premises, the breakfast is made on the spot for each individual - it's about quality and not quantity), and the wine tour & tastings are a MUST. This whole experience was the definition of a tranquil, stress-free, hypnotizing vacation. We will definitely come back, that time for a longer period!!!

The property was beautifully decorated and in a stunning location with beautiful views across the local village and hills. The staff were so helpful and the place was so quiet we could have been there alone. The lunch was a fabulous experience and the highlight of the holiday.

Understand it’s a wine resort but some other drink options would be great. Considering the hill it’s on and no restaurant on site a buggy service would be highly appreciated. We are young and fit and the walk home from dinner was challenging! Lastly the pool was far far far too warm for summer time.

We had a fantastic time at this hotel! Every aspect exceeded our expectations. Everything was perfect. Brilliant clean everywhere. Super nice touches in the room and around the place. Staff was simply amazing. A perfect view over the hills and village. Many big thanks for making our stay unforgettable. Definitely will come back. Definitely recommend the wine tasting: both wines and food were amazing.

No casual lunch option available - have to go into town.

A tranquil oasis overlooking the Vineyards of Chianti. Amazing infinity pool that truly gives a holiday feeling. Rooms and bed are very comfortable, decorated with typical tuscan charm. Self service bar was perfect to watch the sunset with a glass of Capanelle wine. Despite its serene location, it is still very close to town and restaurants for dinner.

I can think of 2 things only: 1. I wish we’d stay longer than 2 nights 2. Would be amazing if Capanelle would have a restaurant on site, because the city itself doesn’t have much to offer (just a few restaurants), and we didn’t like the place where we had a dinner (Osteria Al Ponte), it was overpriced and just not good with the rude waiters - black list for us. Didn’t get to try other places though. Judging by the wonderful lunch in Capanelle, I believe that dinner would be amazing too if there was a restaurant.

Everything From the moment we arrived till the end of our 2 nights stay everything was perfect: friendly staff, the location of the Resort, delicious breakfast, amazing swimming pool and the hot tub, beautiful flowers everywhere, you can see right away that the place is well taken care of. Another important moment: it was very tranquil and quiet (I appreciated it especially after being in the cities during the high season). Additionally, I’d suggest to take a wine tasting accompanied with the lunch! It was really great and definitely worth to try! Even though we rented a car, we barely drove it because the Resort was so good we didn’t want to leave! We immediately felt that this place is special, and maybe for this reason my partner chose Capannelle to propose to me at the first evening :D with so many beautiful memories, Capannelle will always be a special place for us, and we will definitely come back next year!

I don't mind eating lighter lunches or exploring the town a d search for a restaurant there. With that being said, i was a bit surprised by fact that there was no lunch or dinner menu. There was a possibility to have dinner but as i understood it, it was paired with a tasting and guide through their winery cellars. There were no lunch menu, but the nice staff arranged some cold cuts, bread, papa and other good stuff for us instead.

The location of this hotel is a bit remote, but do not that discourage you from traveling here. The hotel is rustic and incredibly charming, it was very nice for a change to stay at a hotel with few guests which allowed the personnel to attend to your every need. The personnel were very sweet and helpful. The wines we tasted where all incredibly good, the favorite was definitely the 50/50. Needless to say, we had a great stay and we simply loved it.

From booking with the hotel to arriving at the resort we were treated to a very special experience. My birthday lunch was a highlight as the food was exceptional and the views breathtaking.

Location on Google map not so obvious. Good if "Capannelle Wine Resort" is searchable on Google map.

Exceptional hotel, clean and comfortable room with very friendly and helpful staff. Jacuzzi view scenic. Wine tasting and cellar tour is a must, and the price very reasonable, 20 euro with cold cut platter. Will definitely stay there again if visiting the region.

The most beautiful place I have ever stayed and the whole experience was just perfect. We were very well looked after by Martina and the other staff. The lunch and wine pairing was delicious and the house itself was idyllic. To top it off we had a very informative and interesting cellar tour. We would be thrilled to stay again, thank you so much.
