Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesVery welcoming owner and staff. One passes through a lovely courtyard to get to the rooms. There was a surprise roof terrace. Breakfast was offered at the oldest cafe in town with fresh made pastries.

CanadaMartina Franka is not to be missed. Fantastic base to explore the surrounding towns and even the coast. The room was large and clean and very nicely decorated. The large internal courtyard and garden was a bonus. Our room even had a rooftop balcony! All in all very comfortable and incredible value.

SpainBeautiful place to stay in Martina Franca. The room was lovely and we had access to an amazing garden. It is located at the heart of Martina Franca, inside the beautiful historic center. It's also the perfect place to explore the other towns in Valle d'Itria. There is paid parking 5 minutes away and lots of restaurants and cafés around. We really felt at home there, especially thanks to sweet Nina, the local cat. She would greet us every morning and every time we would enter the room. Thank you so much for everything!

AustraliaOne morning the cafe that offers the complimentary breakfast was closed, however this was not the fault of the property.
Perfect location, beautiful garden surrounds and a lovely cat who came to visit everyday. Staff were very warm and welcoming. Would recommend this accommodation.

United KingdomShower head needs a new fixing as the head wouldn't stay in position. It's nice to have a TV in the room but this one is very small and it would be better if it were larger. Both tiny details that didn't detract from how much we enjoyed it.
I loved Casa Adele. If you don’t know Martina Franca then you’re in for a treat - it’s a beautiful and gracious town full of inviting public spaces and wonderful buildings. It’s enchanting and draws you in to its winding lanes, and Casa Adele you will find a very short walk from the cathedral in the main square. It couldn’t really be any better. You are first greeted by the huge portone entrance which leads into a beautiful courtyard, from which the external staircase leads to the piano nobile (the owner's residence), and there is an elegant gate (topped with a noble Casa Adele is quite simply fabulous. It’s everything I want my Italian dream to be - courtyards and flowers, elegant interiors, stone vaulted ceilings and history seeping from the walls. The rooms themselves are accessed by an entrance on the opposite side of the courtyard. The ground floor room is large and comfortable with a lovely picture window looking out over the courtyard. This room also has a little table for breakfast that looks on to the courtyard and also a private terrace to the other side that looks across the gardens. The first floor room is accessed via an internal staircase and is similarly lovely. It also has a roof terrace accessed via another staircase. Of note, the staircase to the first floor is steep and the steps are deep - so anyone with walking difficulties would be wise to take the ground floor room. Casa Adele’s secret garden is so tranquil and peaceful. Don’t underestimate what a privilege a garden is in a compact historic centre, and when you sit on your terrace overlooking the garden you will really feel like you’ve found a secret garden - it’s remarkable and unique. The rooms are elegantly simple, with clean lines and nice linens. The owner, Giuseppe and the gentleman that manages the bookings were all very kind and helpful. I don’t really want to tell people how much I liked Casa Adele because I want to keep the secret all to myself. But that wouldn’t

CanadaNothing... except the liquour, just not to my taste. The steep steps up to the upstairs bedroom were difficult for an older person with the a suitcase. Maybe mention this on the website. There could be more choice for the breakfast.
I loved the old stone, the ceiling, etc and the decor. Beautiful!

DenmarkMy stay in Casa Adele was a wonderful experience. Both because the premises were comfortable and of high standard but also beautifully located in a 17th century elegant residence in the historic center of Martina Franca. But on top of that a very helpful and attentive staff made my stay most enjoyable.

United KingdomTwo cups to make tea/coffee; plastic ones supplied melted. Breakfast was not at property but at a local busy cafe three minutes away. One coffee and pastry is offered. Not the relaxing breakfast I expect when I filter ‘breakfast’. There needs to be a different filter for this type of breakfast, as it is an unfair price comparison to those b&b offering a peaceful on-site breakfast with fruit, juice, additional tea/coffee, etc.
Very pretty accommodation. Spacious with outside private seating area. Traditional high ceilings. Well maintained and very clean. Good location.

The room was nice, clean and quiet. The room it is located on the beautiful city centre of Martina Franca. We will come back again! Recommended!
