Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyGreat location with incredible views and super friendly hosts. Incredibly charming B&B 5-minute away from Maronti Beach. Situated on a hill, this privately-run B&B, is the perfect place for those looking for a calm and relaxed place to stay. The view is absolutely stunning, with several possibilities to relax outside on the terraces (you are also being served breakfast here). The breakfast was small and simple, yet, absolutely delicious with homemade cakes, bread, jam and juices. I woke up everyday to an amazing and sunny view on the ocean from my bed and in the late evenings enjoyed homemade Limoncello on my balcony. The hosts were really laidback and welcoming, helping me with any questions. You’ve got several 50’s style restaurants with amazing food right at the beach. They also rent out sun beds. The beach is very clean and you can hear the ocean waves from your room. The bus runs every 20 minutes from Maronti beach, but you can also take a taxi. The closest supermarket is a 20-minute walk further up the hill. There is only a small trail up to the B&B which cannot be used by cars, so be prepared to walk up the hill everyday. Give the hosts a call on the day of arrival and they will transport your luggage up. Unless you have any mobility issues, the location should not be a problem.

United KingdomThis was a wonderful stay and I would recommend Casa Antonio to everyone! I loved the breakfast, the incredible view, sitting on my balcony with the incredible view, the cats and how low key it seemed despite being full. I also loved the walk up the hill for daily exercise.

The hotel is wonderfully located just a short uphill walk from the beach and many brilliant beachside restaurants. The rooms all have a beautiful view overlooking the bay and the hotel is very secluded, so it is very quiet and peaceful at all times. The garden terrace (where you have breakfast) is particularly tranquil. The room was quite simple but is excellent value for the price you pay - the bed was comfortable and the view from the balcony was priceless. Our host, Francesca, couldn't have been more accommodating and was always on hand to make sure we were getting the most out of our stay. I can't recommend Casa Antonio highly enough.

ItalyI’ve stayed in a lot of amazing hotels around the world but Casa Antonio just might be my favourite. The rooms are clean and comfy, the hosts are lovely, the breakfast is homemade and a delight - and the view! The view is incredible. But best of all are the seven cats who live there. I didn’t want to leave and hope we can return in the future. The ascent up the hill is not suitable for people with mobility issues unfortunately, but otherwise it’s absolutely worth it for such a wonderful stay.

Czech RepublicMosquitos, but the room was equipped with a Raid plug-in. No supermarket in the proximity.
The words of praise of previous reviews are all true as regards the excellent host, splendid breakfast, drinking water available, breathtaking views from the terrace, clean and tidy rooms. The location is absolutely perfect for those who prefer a calm charming place to a vivid city with shops and restaurants and rich nightlife. There are a few restaurants close to the beach (5 min), but a supermarket (Carrefour) is 15 min uphill - less convenient. We appreciated the beach was empty in the mornings and evenings and made of tiny stones easy to clean. Great for hikers: We enjoyed a trip to the highest mountain Monte Epomeo (3 hours, good restaurant on the top), an ancient thermal bath Cavascura (15 min, package with mud treatment for 35 euro) and astonishing natural thermal bath Sorgeto (75 min walk, ) where hot water comes directly to the sea (best before breakfast, before it gets crowded).

SwedenFantastic location overlooking the bay. Very friendly owners and excellent breakfast served on the garden terrace. Clean, comfortable room with an amazing view, especially enchanting in the night with the lights from Sant’ Angelo and the boats. Extra plus were the cute cats and an adorable kitten. Would definitely come back again.

AustriaThe owner Francesca is very friendly and helpful in case you need information about where to go and what to see. She makes delicious breakfast (a lot is homemade - like the cakes, jams, yoghurt...). They have a lot of cute cats and are happy to see children around. The house is up a hill with a gorgeous view over the ocean - but bear in mind, those steps need to be climbed as well - but it's worth it ;-)

HungaryIf you are looking for a nice, friendly, cozy place in Ischia, Casa Antonio is your place! It is situated up on a hill with a georgeous view to the beach and to the bay of San Angelo. The beach and the restaurants are in 10 minutes walking distance (15 minutes back 😅). So the location is great, the rooms are nice and clean and well equpipped. The owners are really friendly they are helping on everything! By the way the homemade breakfast is super!

PolandI would love a kettle, just to make the tea or coffee by myself when I want to (I'm night owl, and early bird too). :-)
1: The view from this place is simply amazing. That was pure experience to eat the breakfast at the terrace. I had to occupy my balcony every evening and morning, because I didn't want to waste any moment with these view. Breakfast was really good, I enjoyed this still warm bread everyday! 2: If you want to reach this nice place it's obvious you have to like walking, and that's not a secret. I do, so that was no problem for me. I knew that, so I took backpack, not the suitcase, and that was good move. If you think you'll have a lot of shops here downstairs - no, you have to walk. And remember: walking is good for your health, so just do it! 3. People are extremely nice. First morning I had a fresh herbs cut especially for me to put in hot water, that was really awesome. The staff is friendly, and really helpful. And smiling, that's always so nice to see, really. :-) 4. The other thing that isn't a secret: there are a lot of kitties. I'm a dog person, but I had a cat for 14 years, so that was like a mental therapy for me to spend some time with these wonderful creatures, and watch their funny behaviour from the morning till returning after exploring the Ischia island. 5. The wi-fi was really good, so I could work, and stay in touch with people I left at home, that was important for me, since I was traveling alone. 6. The room was clean, every day I had the bed made (better), even I did it myself. 7. Ischia is breathtaking. And the bus stop was close, so I really explore the island since I took weekly ticket, which I recommend for € saving! 8. The room was simply furnished, I would love to have the kettle and one more blanket or duvet here (I love to coccoon), but this little fridge was really great to have, and the clima made my stay really comfy. For me that was enough now. 9. Thank you all, good people from Casa Antonio, for my stay. It was really important trip for me, and I really enjoyed it because of your place. Take care! 10.

DenmarkThe furniture in the room was not so nice and the bed uncomfortable (from being used for many years).
The view from the balcony and the terraces are wonderful. You can see the sea and the mountains of Ischia. It's really close to the beach, just a 5-10 min walk to Spiaggia Maronti which also has many restaurants and bars. I appreciated the breakfast at the hotel with lots of homemade stuff.

United KingdomSome may struggle with the stairs to the property - but don’t let this deter you, it’s a small price to pay for the beautiful views the location provides.
Casa Antonio is peaceful, beautiful and welcoming. The views are amazing, the proximity to a cafe and beach is ideal, and the breakfast is delicious. Francesca is lovely and will answer all your questions (and also probably speaks your language!). She even made me a coffee at 5am on the day of our leaving, and her brother carried our case down to where our taxi was meeting us.
