How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Very basic kitchen utensils, can be a little bit humid at times, but nothing terrible.
Super clean, well presented, bright and fairly spacious - within walking distance from the train station and the town centre. With all basic amenities in the kitchen, very comfortable throughout!

Cristian, the host, was very supportive, friendly and had recommendations. The apartment is nicely furnished and well equipped, everything is very new. We enjoyed our stay!

We would recommend earplugs as it can get a bit noisy on the street. The perfume dispensers were too strong for us, we put them in a cupboard overnight.
This accommodation was the best in our vacation. The whole apartment was very spacious, modern and very attractively furnished with everything you need and very clean. The host was very friendly, communication went extremely well and we were allowed to store our backpacks both on arrival and departure. Also, an extra sheet was offered for the sofa so we could sleep separately. The location is close to the train station and at the same time you are quickly in the pedestrian zone. We would definitely recommend the accommodation and would love to come back!

Nothing, all was great!

There is absolutely nothing to complain
First of all, I‘d like to say that our host was super friendly and the communication with him was absolutely uncomplicated and perfect. And he also made some good recommendations concerning where to eat in Rapallo. Moreover the appartment was exceptionally clean and premium equipped. There was really nothing missing, even linen and towels were there. We slept very well, there was no noise and the bed was pretty much comfortable. Additionally the apartment is close to the center of Rapallo (maybe 2-5 minutes walking distance)! We really can recommend this beautiful place!!! Thank you so much for everything. PS: finding a parkingplace is very convinient as there is a public one at the rail station with 200m walking distance.

The owner was extremely kind and helpful. The apartment is stunning and that's definitely the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. It was a great location for shopping, sightseeing and the beach and only 5 minutes from the railway station.

Host is very nice, speaks really good english and was flexible regarding the arrival time. Very warm welcome, very clean and freshly renovated apartment. Near the city centre (easy walking distance), parking with a bit of luck/search in the area possible (white = free, blue=paid, yellow=residents).

There is a hole in the wall in the bathroom
Very friendly, helpful and welcoming owner, very responsive as well. The property was very tidy. And has high quality furniture. A lot of space.

The property as well as the host were excellent. A beautiful designed apartment with a lot of space and everything you need for an amazing stay. Christian helped us a lot and gave great recommendations! He was really welcoming and courteous! The kitchen is well-equipped and everything worked smoothly. We could also wash our clothes in the laundry and the rainfall-shower is just awesome! There is also a HiTech-air conditioner that kept our bedroom super fresh and comfortable for the night. I would recommend this property 110% and would love to come back someday!
