How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Rooms could have better sound proofing and doors need oil / spray. Hot water - turn it up.

Everything was clean and well organised. We felt very welcome and if we had needed help, Sabrina would have been there. Loved the central location around the corner from the Spanish steps. Loved Roma even more because of Casa Leoncino.

VERY NOISY ROOM. YOU CAN HEAR EVERYONE FROM OTHER ROOMS EVEN IF HE DOESN'T SPEAK LOUD AND EVERY MOVING DOOR. IT IS HARD TO SLEEP WELL.

The mini-fridge from room makes strange noise so we had to power-off under the night time.
The location is close enough by any atraction of the Rome so we didn't use public transportation. The room and bathroom are very clean. The breakfast is all you need for a good start of the day. We had acces to caffe and tee any time we had need. The bed is very good.

This was the 2nd time in the Casa Leoncino! I’m a huge fan of the house and the atmosphere. All is very organized, super clean, and extremely well located. I also appreciate Sabrina’s hospitality! She is super kind and eager to help. Next time in rome, I’ll came back to Casa Leoncino B&B!

Excellent central location. All major attractions were within walking distance. Very helpful and informative staff. Very modern, comfortable and spacious bedroom and bathroom.

The only drawback is too little choice for breakfast. Of the five days we were there, there were eggs only one morning. My mother and I prefer salty breakfasts, but here they are more likely aimed at people who like to have a sweet breakfast.
Excellent location, close to all the main attractions in Rome. The room was clean, comfortable and cozy. Friendly hostess who helped with the transfer and greeted us gladly.

No, it was exactly what we wanted
THE ROOM - The room was very clean and tidy. Whether it had been or not, it looked newly refurbished (still with a lot of character). We have absolutely no complaints about its condition and the bathroom facilities were lovely. Unlike some places in Rome, the air con worked wonderfully. THE STAFF - Our holiday didn’t have the best of starts when our AM flight to Rome was cancelled. We reached out to the property owners with our new PM flight details and they couldn’t have been more helpful. They responded quickly and with great advice on transport within Rome to get to the B&B. With the amended flights we also arrived quite late at night but there was still a friendly member of staff at the door waiting when we arrived. LOCATION - Possibly one of the biggest selling points of the place. The B&B was a 10 minute walk from the nearest tube station so no lugging bags through the streets when coming or going. Also, the property was really well located in terms of all the tourist attractions too. It was only 5 minutes walk to the Spanish steps, a 15 minute walk from the Trevi Fountain and a 35 minute walk from the Colosseum.

Sabrina is an amazing host and so responsive in all our questions. The place is so warm and cosy. Breakfast super well organised! Love the spacious bathroom and the wooden ceiling... The best part is of cos the strategic location becos we could walk anywhere to the important sites! Thank you again for a wonderful stay! ❤️

The hostess Sabrina made us very welcomed! She took her time showing us the place, had prepared list of recommended restaurants, map of the landmarks, list of closest grocery stores, pharmacy, etc. It was really nice and something you don’t get very often in other places. The location of the property is fabulous! 10 min walk to Trevi fountain, pantheon, 3 minutes to Spanish stairs and max 20min to Colosseum. Close to all the main attractions yet not on busy touristy route. There is taxi rank in the other side of the street. The rooms was spacious with very comfy bed!Bathroom was clean and well equipped. There is AC in the room and the kitchen which was fantastic. The breakfast is serve service and although there isn’t any hot options available it had a variety of things and plenty of it. We’ll be back!!
