The only small issues we had were with the lack of temperature control in the room and the gritty texture of the towels (they’re definitely going for more of a rustic feel but personally wish they were more plush)

Beautiful property on a quieter part of the lake. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful, and the included breakfast was a huge value.

I understand the concept of having renovated an old monastery into a hotel hence wanting to have decor and furnishings that conveys the history of what was (that mono tone, minimalist way of furnishing and decorating) but they took that to a very extreme. The color scheme and finishes were fine but have a single metal chair in the seating area is a 100% bad option for a junior suite that costs hundreds. I mean come on…..really? Literally the only place that was a comfortable surface to rest on in the suite was the bed! I also didn’t care for the whole breakfast set up (you commit to what you want to have and when you want to have it at least the day before. What if I get hungry sooner or later. What if what I feel like having that morning differs from what sounded good the day before? And the junior suite I paid for was listed as lake view…..it was not. At best, it was side lake view. They did move me to a different suite when I complained but only for one of the two nights I was there. They were nice enough to throw in a wellness center time for free to make it up, which was nice :)

Beautifully renovated place that has a dream like feel to it at times. Super clean. Very comfortable beds. The walkway along lake como outside was so wonderful to have and goes on forever. Wellness center was cool to have as well. Pool looked great w a view of the lake (was too cold to dip in it at the time I was there)

Would have probably paid extra for the lake view next time we didn’t have any kind of view. Lovely stay though!

Lovely and clean. The staff were helpful and nice. Breakfast is nice as it’s made to order rather than a buffet. Felt very special.

We appreciate the minimalistic style of the hotel but room was missing another chair and a little table. Bathroom was definitely missing place to put your toiletries- a little shelf. There are also no slippers and that would be handy for the spa

I loved the place

The hotel decor is beautiful. The staff was attentive, accommodating and super friendly. It is by the water and you can walk on the lake shore. You have a couple of restaurants right beside it and you can walk there.

Casa Olea is an amazing option if you are visiting Lake Como - 10 min by car from Menaggio, it was the perfect base to visit the area without staying inside the confusion of the small famous villages. The hotel itself is spetacular, the refurbishment was done very tastefully and the whole hotel is beautiful. The room was very comfortable and had an amazing view to the lake. The shower was for sure one of the best showers I have ever used in my life, and the amenities by Comfort Zone provided a nice touch. The breakfast was excellent and everyone working there was very nice and welcoming. If you are visiting this area, book this place!

Beautiful boutique hotel in a quiet part of Lake Como. Very short drive to Menaggio where you can catch ferries elsewhere. Incredibly relaxing :)

The only downfall was that our room, which was advertised to have a clear view of the lake, had a playground between it and the water. Kids played on the playground until late at night, which made the stay less relaxing than we were hoping for.

There was nothing I disliked about the property. We would absolutely come stay again. The only thing I would recommend would be a mini fridge in the room. Also a full length mirror and extra bin would be useful.

The location is a bit remote. But if you are driving and are not tired like us, you'll be fine.

Upon reception, the staff member at the front desk made us feel very welcomed. Breakfast is included and they bought my husband and I special vegan yoghurts to accommodate us! I'd say finding good vegan options can be hard in Italy. They have vegan pastries as an option but to go as far as preparing extra food for us is just outstanding hospitality. The hotel was spotless and we had a very comfortable stay.
