Amazing location in a quiet area of the town. But still close to walk in. Aside from the tastefully decorated apartment, the level of communication was exceptional. Not too much info to be overwhelming, but not too little that anything was left out or needed checking. Replies were personal and speedy. Highly recommended!!!!

This was a really beautiful apartment, very nicely appointed, comfortable bed, very spacious, fantastic location, right in the heart of historic Montalcino. And a private garage too! The hostess was exquisite and we loved everything about this place. Highly recommended.

Perfect place to stay on your trip in south Tuscany. So cozy, so clean, extremely comfortable and the location is absolutely wonderful. The Private parking spot in a closed garage is a huge bonus. You definately can tell the apartment is run by an open minded, motivated owner. Thank you, Chiara for your warm hospitality and great recommendations for places to visit in the area. I really hope to visit this beautiful place again.

This is not a criticism of the facility, but for those with difficulties getting about by foot, the location of the apartment would be a real challenge

Chiara is a terrific host/owner! Not only did she make sure that everything was in order after a stormy night, she was also very enthusisatic in sharing her knowledge of Montelcino and more of the wine makers in the area. We look forward to staying there again!

We had a great stay! We let our young daughters sleep in the bedroom so my husband and I could work at the table late into the night, and we found ourselves wishing we'd put the smaller guests on the sofa-bed instead - but that was on us. If you're traveling with a family, we'd suggest putting the adults in the proper bedroom.

Otello Guest House is a charming, thoughtfully-designed apartment in the heart of Montalcino. The unit feels very homey, yet incredibly clean. It is very well-located for those who want to walk around town and the attached enclosed garage is a godsend in those narrow Italian streets. As nice and convenient as the guest house is, it's the sweet host, Chiara, that made our stay extraordinary. We came with a very specific purpose during Sagra del Tordo and she went above and beyond to show us an authentic side of the festival. From helping us to arrange special dinner tickets (and hand-delivering them to our door) to meeting up with us at various events, Chiara was ever-present, friendly, and helpful, without being overbearing. We began communicating with her many months prior to our stay and it was such a comfort to know she was always a message away. We would recommend Otello Guest House to anyone staying in Montalcino and hope to return again someday!

Great location in town with garage for car. We went to 4 wineries for tasting during the days this is a great location for restaurants and grocery stores. Laundromat was also very close. Host was very responsive to any inquires. We used GPS to drive to the apartment do not use! Turns are very tight with small car. Use her supplied video to apartment!

The weather in Montalcino which was awful .Take very warm clothes in May . Cold ,windy and wet .

Nothing, everything was amazing!

My husband and I were in Tuscany for honeymoon and wanted to stay in Montalcino (given our love for Brunello!). We were so glad that we found Chiara's place, the apartment was very cute and antique. She managed it really well and it was in great shape, very clean and organized. The bed was also comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. The location was very close to city centre so we were able to find restaurants and food nearby. Chiara was an amazing host, she was extremely thoughtful and provided us with great recommendations. We hope to come back soon!

Nothing, it was ideal.

What a lovely place to stay! The apartment was spacious for the two of us. It is in the heart of Montalcino so you can walk to all points of interests and restaurants & cafes. The apartment is beautifully decorated and combined old (exposed wood beams and exposed brick) with modern conveniences (modern kitchen and bathroom). Chiara, our host, was outstanding at communicating and making sure our stay was going well and we even had a homemade torte and cookies upon arrival. We loved our stay snd recommend you stay there on your trip to Montalcino.
