Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt was 35 degrees so would have been good to have a fan for night time as there was no air con
Beautiful and spacious flat with amazing views of the mountains and a good mixture between modern and old. The host Simone was very helpful and even picked us up from the train station as we weren't able to get a bus or taxi. Great outdoor space for relaxing and eating and pool on the top floor was a nice bonus in the very hot weather.

Russiait was wonderful stay for me and my family. Badalucco is an amazing village which from one side is close to the sea and beaches (May be 15 min by car) but from the other side it is far from the city noise, where one can really relax - sharing the table in a small bar or taking some walks in the area around. The villa’s hosts are very helpful and don’t hesitate to ask them if you are looking for something special - they have a lot to advice. The villa is comfortable and the view from the terrase is incredible - good chance to pass the end of the day. Hope to return there once again.

NetherlandsNothing really!
Our host, Simone, could not have been more hospitable. Even before we arrived he arranged reervations for a great restaurant. Throughout our stay Simone was available for any questions and answers. For any tips on anything, he was there. Location is prefect. Just outside of the business of the coastal towns, but only 10 mins away from the beach. Badalucco is a charming town and has everything you need, restaurants, grocery stores. The apartment was beautifully designed, like a wine cellar with all the modern day comforts.

NetherlandsThe host, Simone, brought us to our appartment (the Loft) and helped us during our stay several times. Simone is a very pleasant host and gives you many tips for sightseeing and beautiful places in the near area. The appartment was beautiful and spacious, even though we were with 6 persons (2 adults and 4 children). The view from the appartment to the village Badalucco is breathtaking. Because of the mountains the appartment is always in the shadow in the afternoon and there is always a cooling wind. The village and near area itself is very beautiful with kind and helpful Italian people. You can swim at several places in the local river (snorkling, diving and jumping from rocks, waterfall). And there are enough possibilities to buy your groceries (2 little supermarkets, 3 bakeries, 2 butchers and a couple of bars/restaurants) My family and I recommend Casa Pablo and a stay in Badalucco!

BelgiumWe loved Badalucco, the village is beautifully unspoiled and easy going, and the river is very enjoyable. Simone was amazingly helpful and friendly. He has restored the house with great taste. The wine cellar where we stayed would be ideal for a couple and worked fine for us with our children (one slept on the sofa, the other in a cot). The private terrace was a nice touch.

Germanyto live with a baby makes no sense. the house was very cold when we arrived. a lot humidity in the house and heating system is not suffcient. If you come without kids and in summer it would be ok, but in winter time it is not good to come with a baby. -no shower -very small refrigerator -old pans to cook -heating system is not good, thermostat is in the living room and shots down the heating system even before the other rooms are warmed up -walls are pure stone in some room, which is very cold and humit in winter times -no direct parking, need to carry all the things and from supermarket, it is very sporty
Nice old italian town, Badalucco is beautiful
