Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaRoom decor was a bit dated but it very clean. The bed was slightly firmer than I would have liked but that was a minor issue.
Very reasonable price and well connected to public transport. It was a mere 6 min walk away from the metro station and it took only 22 mins door to door to the city centre or Termini. There were also excellent direct buses to take you to the city centre too. It was about 30 mins walk from Vatican. Check in was easy and they were very accommodating. They said their check in closes at 11pm but we got unexpectedly delayed by the Italian trains and they were extremely gracious about us coming at 1140pm (after calling them in advance of course). Breakfast every morning was a large selection of sweet pastries, yogurt, ham, cheese and there was a coffee machine. The hotel is run by nuns and they are accepting of everyone. The room was spacious. Shower was excellent to use. WiFi worked perfectly. We would happily stay again if we were in Rome.

FranceThe water pressure was bad, the breakfast is very mediocre but still better than nothing
Situated a few minutes from the vatican city and from the metro station, the location of the property is great. It’s composed of several buildings next to each other and is located in an entry way so it’s quite calm

CanadaEverything was fabulous! We were off the beaten path, but we were in walking distance of the Vatican, which was great!! We could also easily take the bus out metro into the city centre.
Very welcoming, patient, and helpful. We arrived late and all the parking was taken, but they went out of their way to allow us to park in a different section of the property. They were extremely kind and helpful whenever we asked questions or needed anything.

AustraliaI consider myself great with directions but this place was pretty hard to find and I wasn’t provided with check-in instructions, which would’ve been helpful. As stated, it’s in a gated estate and you need to buzz a doorbell to be let in, then you still need to find the building (that part is a bit easier once you’re inside the gate) I would’ve really appreciated a photo of the doorbell/gate that I need to check into as I got a bit lost while carrying my bags, making the check-in slightly stressful. Also, my bed was extremely creaky and there is barely any soundproofing. Not a problem as I had great neighbours but I did feel conscious of any noice I was making.
It is located in a semi-quieter part of Rome within walking distance of the Vatican and plenty of public transport options (metro and buses) to get into the main city. Daily cleaning is provided and there are many food/grocery/laundry/cafe options around. It is in a gated estate and the staff are very nice/welcoming and attentive. The breakfast was simple but great, juices/cereal/ coffee machines/baked goods and fresh deli meats & cheese, good for the price.

Mauritius1) The outside entrance stairs are steep. If someone could help carrying the luggage up or down ,that would be awesome! 2) Taxi should be allowed to pick up passengers in front of the hotel. Today, my wife and I had to carry our luggage from below, climb uphill ,up to the gate ; very tiring for 2 seniors! Anyway, thanks for the hospitality!
Very helpful staff and gentle. They have helped in every possible way.

South KoreaThe city tax is quite expensive, which is a drawback. Since it's determined by Rome, it's not the hotel's fault."
"The nuns kept the rooms and bathrooms clean and tidy every day, and they also changed the towels daily. I am sincerely grateful. Some people mentioned that breakfast only had bread and pastries, but on the first day of our 3-night stay, we enjoyed warm croissants & chocolate jam-filled pastries, which were delicious. We also had long and chewy baguette bread, along with two types sliced of hams, and cheese, lemon slices. The coffee machine offered various coffee options such as cappuccino, latte & espresso which we enjoyed. The location in Rome was great, and considering the excellent breakfast provided, I don't understand why some people would give negative reviews. This is a wonderful hotel run by fantastic nuns. Thank you."

BrazilDifficulty finding the property, as it is located within a condominium. There is a staircase to access the reception, making it difficult to carry suitcases.
Good location. The breakfast was good and with a variety of products. The room was a good size and very clean. It was possible to leave bags at the property before check in time.

LithuaniaA closed area that was difficult to find and access, maybe because we arrived late.
Fiumicino Airport is well connected - the SIT shuttle bus stop Circonvalleazione Aurelia is less than a kilometre away. The Vatican is about 2 km away, also within easy walking distance. The room is very simply furnished, but we found everything we needed. As we wanted to leave early, we received our breakfast packets the night before.

PhilippinesI loved our room--it's so spacious and comfortable. The bathroom is very nice and clean as well. There are cabinets where you can hang your clothes. You can also access the upper floors via an elevator. Big plus. Location is good! Though it's not in city center, you can easily take a bus--the stop is right across the street, or a take a few minutes walk to the train station. Very near small restaurants and groceries. Breakfast is excellent. So many choices of food and drinks. I was always looking forward to it =) The nuns running the place are so kind and welcoming, and very helpful as well. It can get very cold at night and early morning, when the heating system is off, so just be prepared. :)
