How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Its position in the center of Turin, the appartment is big and silent. Also it's very modern with the latest technologies. It was very clean and also I appreciated that there was coffee and other amenities for free. The apartment is furnished with every need, from kitchenware to washing machine, making a complete and nice place. Too bad it was only for 2 nights...

Just perfect.
Modern. Very clean found in a very well kept block. Right in the centre of Turin. Host was very helpful and replied immediately whenever texted for help. The property has nice outdoors as well.

I didn't need to use the wifi fortunately but there were no instructions on how to access it. If I did need it, it would have been an issue. This is the only issue I had and it is a small one.
The location was excellent. The accommodation was tastefully furnished and supplied with almost everything you might need. I could walk to everywhere I wanted to be.

The only thing I’d suggest is to have more pillows. The bed is not very comfortable but it might because of personal preference.
Location is so good, walking distance to all the main attractions.

A welcome information book which includes wifi info/heating info would have been useful. More information on how to use things in the apartment. I did have a phone number and messaged the host on WhatsApp and got quick replies.

Everything was great, would have just been nice to have a choice of pillows (soft and firm). Some wine glasses would also be good, as these were not in the apartment. Otherwise -- no complaints!
Very modern, clean, and quiet apartment located steps from the main sights and shops in Turin. Building sits in a quiet courtyard, with excellent noise insulation, and very effecient floor heating. Bathroom has good water pressure, and fully serviced kitchen for cooking. The balcony in particular was nice to sit and enjoy a coffee. The host was most helpful and available to answer any questions on whatsapp. Will definitely come back again!

The location in the middle of the centre is great, all major touristic locations are within walking distance. The appartment is very modern and has everything you need. The kitchen is fully equipped but I don't know why you would wanna cook when in Italy!

The Wi-Fi was great the first day and a little up and down the other days but still useable.
The apartment was better than we could imagine! Loads of space and facilities. Every tourist attraction was a short walk from the apartment.

Tableware was a bit of a mishmash, several chipped glasses and no wine glasses, which was surprising considering the host kindly left us a nice bottle of wine. Would suggest host conduct an inventory of kitchen and table ware and replace broken/chipped/missing items.
Fantastic location, one block away from the main piazza. Apartment was nice and quiet in a renovated historic building, had good A/C and nice balcony. Bathroom and shower were very nice. Having a washer machine in the apartment was very handy.

The apartment was wonderful, very comfortable and inviting. The communication on the location and how to get in was exceptional. The location was very central to everything. I would definitely stay here again. Grazie mille!

This was the last leg of a wonderful Italian break, unfortunately we couldn't unwind and relax as expected as its was broad summer -very hot for us- and the air conditioning didn't work. The person in charge was incredibly nice and approachable, I asked him to take a look at the issue but it carried on, shame cooling air fans weren't provided as asked.
Central and safe location, you can walk everywhere from there. Very nice accommodation.

The apartment is super clean, stylish and in an excellent location, close to the station and main attractions. The host was on hand and made check in really easy with video instructions. Very quiet and comfortable, would definitely recommend. Loved having a washing machine to freshen up my clothes and the coffee machine for the morning was an extra treat.

I like the location close to the main museums and historical spots. Easy to get here fom the staction and the airport too. The house is full equipped, modern design and easy to make the check in. The staff is very nice and always available to reach. We are a family with a kid and the sofa bed is new and comfortable.

Our two day stay was disappointing from the start. Firstly, we were not provided with complete access instructions and they kept us for almost an hour (at 3:00 p.m.) in the August sun, without receiving a response by phone or WhatsApp to access the portal. Once we were able to enter after the sunstroke, we realized that the air conditioning and the Wi-Fi did not work. The bathroom and towels were hairy, there was a toenail in the bedroom, and they hadn't even bothered to take the dishes out of the dishwasher. The sofa-bed was torture to sleep on, as it was sunk in and had a wooden slat that stuck into the back. I guess in order not to make a complaint to Booking, we were promised a full refund in case the air couldn't be fixed, since they didn't provide us with a fan either. Finally, we were not given a solution or the promised money was returned to us. The only thing we were not charged was the tourist tax for the inconvenience... For all this, the feeling was quite disappointing due to the cleanliness, the heat (32 degrees almost all day and a little less at night), the poor quality of the sofa bed and for unfulfilled promises.
