Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThé sofa bed is not comfortable at all. We were a group of friends and we couldn’t stay next to each other. Not very child-friendly as one of us had to walk up the stairs with a baby and a small child.
Very good location, we got 30 min to enter the town and drop off our luggage which was great. The apartments were very spacious, bathroom was huge but shower small. There was no cutlery in the kitchen though there were plates/ cups. It was cleaned, fresh blessings and towels. Wifi worked well. Staff was polite. Overall a very beautiful place to stay.

ItalyThis was our second visit here and we'll definitely come back again. The apartment was different from last time, but spacious, pleasant and comfortable. There is a bit of a steep walk up from the car park (you can get a pass to bring the car nearer to drop off the bags, but we didn't bother) but the location is perfect for trips to the sea. Suvereto has several bars and restaurants and there's a great grocery shop nearby which does fantastic sandwiches. We didn't cook in the kitchen but it was really handy to have the facilities to prepare breakfast etc. The price is very good for the area ( we came mid-week).

United KingdomLovely lady on reception (Luisa?) was delightful and very helpful, especially with a potential problem we had involving a double booking. She resolved it quickly, and with great good humour. (A good word also for Booking.com, who were also prompt in helping solve our problem) Location ,and view from our terrace were great., seconds away from restaurants, etc.

CanadaThe kitchen is well designed, but not that well equipped. For families that want to cook dinner, a little more cookware and basics like salt, pepper, etc. would be a good addition.
Suvereto is a stunning medieval village and Il Chiostro is a converted convent where you can still see signs of its past. The apartments are large and well furnished; the bed was the most comfortable we had in our whole trip; and while we were right in town, our little street was very quiet at night. Because the stone walls are so thick, the apartment was very cool -- which would be great in the summer. There is a heating/cooling unit in the bedroom.

ItalyEverything was fine. We couldn't find bins or containers to throw away plastic. A hair-dryer would have been handy.
We stayed in a lovely studio flat, which was clean and spacious. The bed was really comfortable and the furnishings were simple and tasteful. The flats/studios are located next to an old cloister and there's a pleasant outdoor seating area. Parking is available out of the city walls and it's a steep 3-minute walk. You can get a permit to bring the car into the centre to drop off bags, but we didn't bother. There were quite a lot of stairs, so our flat (number 8) wouldn't be suitable for someone with mobility problems. Suvereto is a charming village and there are plenty of restaurants. It's a 20-minute drive to the sea ( Barartti in one direction and Torre Mozza in the other) The location is ideal and we would certainly stay here again.

AustraliaNothing comes to mind. We had a very enjoyable stay, here.
Nice, centrally located b and b in a fascinating old town. We drove the car through the ZTL and parked outside the b and b to drop off our cases, then relocated the car in a free parking area just outside the town wall (at the cemetary!). Clean rooms, well maintained. Self check in, then met the staff in the reception office, and they were very helpful and friendly. There were stairs to the apartment. A great location, and a high standard b and b.

GermanySimply Marvelous. Eluisa and her team are doing a fantastic job in making you feel comfortable at Il Chiostro. You're right in the middle of the ancient city centre, but far away enough to have it quiet if you want. Everything you need, from Restaurants to groceries is in walking distance. There are several beaches within 20min by car and for sure lots of places worth visiting. The building is located in some kind of an old monastery and really something special. The appartment was spacious enough and the interior is beautifully arranged. The kitchen offers everything you need and with some creativity you'll find a way to cook with the two burners. If you need anything, just ask Eluisa and she will help you. From parking tickets, to restaurant recommendations, to the perfect beach for your needs or where to find a pharmacy for the covid-test, she's a perfect host. For us, staying at Il Chiostro was something very special because of a all the small details and the special atmosphere.

United KingdomDifficult to load unload luggage as quite a few steps up to our apartment but we had quite big cases. If you’re travelling light or young and fit this won’t be an issue. And the going up gives you the view.
Perfect location, lovely well equipped flat, great views.
