Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaWe loved everything about our stay in Casignano. Maurizio and Tina were incredible hosts. They picked us up and dropped us up where we needed at no additional cost. They provided an amazing breakfast and were incredible people who made you feel at home and like family. The view and location was 10/10. So quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Could not have had a better stay.

United StatesOur stay at the Villa Casignano was Awesome ! Deeply nestled away in the Tuscany foothills just outside of Florence is this beautiful property. Tina and Maurizio were Amazing hosts. They went above and beyond in making sure are all our needs were met. Our daughters even got to experience the joy of feeding their horses and donkeys. Watching the sun rise and hearing the birds chirp was priceless. To top things off, they referred us to a Wonderful restaurant, Nuovo Ranch. Absolutely Superb ! Thank You for an Awesome stay. Much Love + Many Mahalos, The Detros (Martine, Catherine, Sophia + Juliana).

United StatesA little further than expected from Florence, but it was still a wonderful stay.
Beautiful views! We stayed in the apartment which was spacious and cozy! The hosts were very friendly and most accommodating with anything we needed. They also recommend a couple of tips and places to eat in town with a delicious place right down the road.

CanadaRoad is a bumpy and narrow getting there so it’s good to have a car that can handle it. We had a jeep and it was fine. Google maps tried to get us to go left after we left the property one day to go to dinner and it led to a very tough & rocky road that became impossible to drive where we almost got stuck in the mud trying to turn around to come back, so don’t listen to the navigation system if it sends you that way.
Beautiful vistas, especially if you wake to hear the dawn chorus and see the sunrise. Olive orchards all around, smell of jasmine on the wind, and the donkeys and horses made it very special. A perfect retreat to relax and connect with the beautiful land. Took my father and he adored it and is still talking about it, including how the kindness and generosity of our hosts. Convenient to explore the area without being stuck in the noise & hustle of the city. We took a day to explore Florence and it was perfect to do that and then return to try a local restaurant.

GermanyAt the property all perfect. However, there are 2 potential routes to drive there, and you should check them before choosing related to the size/type of you car. One route is very narrow and I have a relatively wide and long sport car, which was a challenge to drive down from the hill to the city as there was morning traffic to the churches by the village people. The route is more or less one car wide, but bi-directional with very few possibilities to drive around each other when 2 cars meet. But the other route is easier, however covered with stones, it was not an issue even for my sport car.
It is a fantastic location in few minutes drive from the city. My kids LOVED it, with the small horses and donkeys, the olive plants and the mega relaxed environment, covered parking for the cars. We had the apartment rented, which has a great kitchen with all equipped you need. The owners were very kind, helped us with everything we needed with a very positive attitude.

PolandEverything was PERFECT! I fell in love with landscape and view, amazing village. This place is wonderful if you want to run away from the city and noises, you can seriously rest here. Additionally owners - Tina and Mauricio - are the most precious people on the earth. There are also horses and donkeys there - and they are very cute and friendly! Florence is really close, about 15 minutes by car. Highly recommend!

RomaniaWe were not prepared at all for the he road to the property. I read again the previous reviews of the tourists and no one mentions the road very narrow, through the forest and without asphalt. After getting to the property, it is ok but in the first moment we doublechecked several times Google maps. The nearest restaurant was also in the middle of the forest, 2.5 Km away, of course we needed to take the car even we hoped to be able to walk through it and maybe have some wine. But the biggest minus of the location was the lack of mosquito protection at windows. It was a very hot period and the nights also were very hot. We had to sleep with windows closed or better said, we slept not well at all.
The place is very nice, situated at 20km from Florence, away of any noise, on top of a hill. Still be sure you would enjoy a place like this, far from any civilization having the access road narrow, without asphalt and through the forest. Breakfast was good, fresh fruits, cakes, very good coffee, cheese etc. Christina was very nice and provided me the recipes for her apple and cinnamon cake, which was fantastic.

Czech RepublicThis place is magical and we felt here like at home. Maurizio and Christina took great care of us. During our two weeks roadtrip in Italy we stayed in many accomodations and this one we enjoyed the most – staying in a beautiful room with amazing view at the Tuscan landscape, having delicious breakfast and dinner, sipping wine while watching the stars on the terrace and having long discussions about life with our lovely hosts. Eventhough the location is quite remote we didn't mind and had no problem to make trips to Florence and to the countryside.
