How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

It may need a little modernization because it's frequently used and a bit worn, so it needs some fixing and repairs to get into perfect shape. If so, it will be a 10/10.
Location in middle of all monuments. Very helpful and friendly staff.

The shower could have been a little hotter but really just being picky.
Would really recommend staying here. The location was excellent, the process easy, the room well equipped with a luxe feel with the comfiest bed we stayed in while in Italy, friendly staff.

It would be nice if there was someone at the front desk at all times, but not a huge requirement.
Location was excellent and host was super accommodating. I needed my luggages to be placed in hotel for 2 days and the host gladly assisted since it was only 2 luggages.

Small room but very comfortable, no view from room.
Location great! Communication wonderful. They also organised a bottle of wine for my partners birthday which was a lovely touch.

You have to carry your luggage up three flight of stars to get to your room If you have a car the parking garage is too far to walk with luggage you need to take a taxi

Clean, modern, helpful staff, we struggled to get a taxi home and Jennifer was such a great help, went above and beyond to help us so we don’t miss our flight!!

Amazing place! Localisation was perfect - few minutes from Vatican City in one direction and few minutes from Piazza Navona and DiTrevi in another. We landed in Rome late in the evening, and there had zero problems with self check-in. Our room was clean, spacy and very comortable. Service was also great - nice and very responsive. Would definately recommend!

Our room didn't have any views, you looked out and and saw just the back of the building.
Location was awsome and the rooms were very tidy and modern. Huge 2 person shower and comfy beds.

It was an amazing experience, you are just 2 min away from Castel S'Angelo. All the staff were very nice and helpful. There was a problem with heating and since I was sick, I was extremely worried to get worse. But they fixed it when I told them in the evening immediately. thanks to them I stayed one day in my room, got good rest with the warm temperature in the room. Also the rooms are new, they are super clean. The bathroom is very spacious, and there was not any noise! Thank you so much!

Absolutely stunning room, newly renovated. In a quiet part of Rome, plenty resturants around. Although we arrived late and had to leave early the next day, we didn't have time to explore. Very comfortable bed, I would definitely stay here again if I was in Rome.

The only thing that was strange for us was that there was no one to greet us at the hotel when we arrived at 1:30 pm, but one day earlier they contacted us and gave us all the info on how to get inside the hotel and the room.
The location of the hotel is great, it’s very close to every monument and very easy to get there. The room is spacious, with many closets and cupboards. The bed is so comfy and they also have a smart TV. They changed our towels and cleaned the room everyday which was very nice. The receptionist was always very polite and helpful. Overall great stay, we loved the place.

Difficult to get taxi if needed due to traffic.
Very close to the Vatican. However difficult to get a taxi to the area if needed. Gentleman at desk did not help us in calling for a taxi when I asked.

Beautiful area overlooking the water, had a lovely dinner here our last night in Sorrento. Staff was very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Room was very clean, modern and updated. I would recommend staying here while in Sorrento

The stairs only because we had large luggage. The stuff did help us with the luggage. This is not a negative because we like the older buildings in Rome.
Location and the staff. The area was very safe. No issue with pick pocket.

Incredible location. Room was very comfortable including the beds! Bathroom/Shower was very nice. Daily cleaning was very detailed. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
