Beautiful castle with a great restaurant.

Arriving at the castle was not easy, there were no signs in town and GPS provided bad directions to a private road.

It was more amazing than expected. The castle was authentic feeling, with everything getting like it was truly a medieval castle

I would have given a 10/10 if the air conditioning worked as expected. Otherwise the stay was absolutely impeccable and incredible. Will return for another stay.

The bedding was lacking in comfort and the shower hear wasn't mounted so it was hard to wash hair.

The food in the restaurant was very good and the staff was nice. Its a beautiful castle.

This was a repeat visit to the Castello and it did not disappoint. Incredible architecture, which is a visual feast to enjoy. Restaurant is top standard with silver service. We were the only guests on this particular night and breakfast was still provided plentiful and fresh. Staff are efficient, polite and very helpful.

The air conditioning in our ( standard) room was on but did not appear to be cooling the room down. The bathroom might benefit from an upgrade ( but then I guess this unique accommodation would cost a lot more).

It was really atmospheric here and the dining experience felt very special. We loved the decor. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

The entrance to the chateau was not easy to find but the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Magnificent castle with beautiful views, clean and comfortable room. Would definitely go again.

Breakfast could be better. It did not matter for me but other people must find it insufficient.

The room comfortable. Good light by the bed and very ni ce bathroom. The restaurant had excellent food and all over there was soft and pleasant music. really very nice. The staff is first class.

The bathroom needs renovation. There was a spider net in the corner of the room.

The restaurant is the best part of this hotel. All dishes were tasty. We really enjoyed our dinner. The hotel is located in a beautiful castle. Rooms are decorated like in a castle, it’s very nice and special. It was our second stay in this hotel and we hope to come back again.

Unfortunately they were preparing for a wedding so very noisy when having our dinner, plus the room we had was no near as nice as last year! Also when you have been travelling you don't expect to have to wait until 4pm to get a drink. very strange.

We were very disappointed in our room and the lack of hotel facilities - both fell well short of the description provided on booking.com. We booked a room described as 25sqm with air conditioning, a sofa and table, soundproofing and a view - all of which were important to us. our room was 15sqm at best plus a bathroom. It was dark, had no sofa, no table and no window or view - just a door onto a small balcony shared with 2 other rooms. The room was quite warm and there was air conditioning but we were told it could not be turned on due to government regulations. We opened the door to let in fresh air, but in came the mosquitoes and we could not leave it open for security reasons. After a long hot night I asked for a fan and after much haggling one was provided - much better. Our room was not in the main castle building, but in an annexe above reception and next to the bell tower. The bell rings very, very loudly from 9 am to 9 pmon the hour, so if you want an afternoon nap or an early night, don’t stay near the bell tower - it will more than wake you! As for the hotel facilities, the description included a guest lounge, a bar, games room and room service - these did not exist. The hotel has a stunning courtyard which would be perfect for an aperativo - alas, not an option. A few days before we arrived we were advised that the restaurant would not be available on the night of our arrival due to a group booking - no alternative at the hotel was offered - surely a table in the lovely courtyard could have been arranged. Beware of weddings or large group bookings as this may compromise your stay. My issue here is that we did not get what was described and what informed our choice of this hotel - properties must take more care to be accurate in their descriptions.

If you have ever wanted to stay in an authentic castle then this is a fabulous choice - a magnificent property that feels very special and is filled with lovely furnishings and delightful details. The gardens are beautiful and the restaurant is very good - wonderful atmosphere.

The water in the shower wasn’t hot - very thin walls (could here people snoring in the next room) - breakfast was poor - way too expensive for what it offers
