Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe location opposite the station was a bit off putting and the immediate area is not great but the 5-10 minute walk to the delightful town centre made up for it.
The ‘owner’ was very, helpful and provided a list of restaurants . The one we tried was excellent. Breakfast was good and the rooms had good facilities and air conditioning. It is a 5-10 minute walk to the beautiful centre. I have a disabled badge so we could park right outside the hotel.

ItalyBeing in front of the Railway Station, the area around the hotel seems a bit daunting at first, but we found it was not a problem and in the evening it quietens down.
It's a family run hotel so everything seems to be done with a lot of care. Nadia at the Reception was very friendly and helpful and her elderly parents, obviously the founders, were also on hand to greet the guests, so the whole atmosphere was like being in a "family"!. My single room (101) was of an adequate size and newly refurbished. The shower was modern and in perfect working condition! My travel companions' double room (108) was of a good size, with a balcony and with a similarly good shower! Breakfast, mostly Continental, was adequate. Everything was very clean and in good order. The hotel is right in front of the Railway Station and a short walk away from all the cities' main attractions. The Tourist Board map available at the hotel desk shows them on the map with a brief description of each, which we found very helpful. Plenty of restaurants and bars also within walking distance. There is a parking right in front of the hotel, with Parking metres, but we were lucky enough that there was a space available in their own parking, free of charge. Although it is classified as a 2-star hotel, it could really be a 3 star. If we ever go back to Asti, we would certainly go back to the same hotel.

A very practical hotel. Nothing fancy, but everything clean and functional. A very good position, right by the railway station but still quiet at night. You can hear noises from other rooms and the corridor, but this is no problem unless some guests are inconsiderate and noisy at night - something I didn't experience.

ItalySince it's right by the side of the railway station, the zone is populated by the immigrants mostly, but we didn't encounter any particular problem.
§the host has been so nice. I am allergic to diary and she provided all the possible solutions for me to have a breakfast! Room is clean and well equipped. The hotel is nearby to the railway station and 5 minutes by foot from the downtown.
