Calm, calm, calm. The best place to visit Sacra di San Michele. Good dinner in the restaurant , though the choice is limited.

Staff could be a bit more open and welcoming. For example, gardener did not acknowledge our greeting! One of the reception staff was fantastic. The test dour faced. Bruno in restaurant open , welcoming and helpful.

At breakfast, the caffe americano was undrinkable. It was far too concentrated. Please make it lighter as a normal caffe americano usually is.

It was interesting to stay at this former monastery, which provides for a special atmosphere. Quiet nights and good breakfast. The restaurant was closed, but we received good suggestions on nearby restaurants.

There are a lot of mosquitoes so one cannot spend too much time outside. We wanted to have a drink before dinner but the bar area is not lively at all. The bed for 2 persons is not very big. One of the rooms was quite dark too.

We were looking for a view, the peace and quiet and that s what we got. The dinner at the restaurant was very good, noting that the waitress was good and attentive to the patrons too. Breakfast was great with even a very good hot chocolate

I liked everything but would have found some in room glasses and tea/coffee making facilities handy.

Certosa 1515 is tranquil, high in the hills and forest and represents an amazing restoration of an historic site. The entire place is clean and well presented and offers a good breakfast and association with a first class gourmet restaurant Thursday through Sunday ... a delightful surprise. Good friendly staff, great value for money and did I mention the tranquility?

No kettle, so with the remoteness of the property, you couldn't get a drink.

Staff were uncaring and service was disappointing. They were focussed on a conference running in the hotel, and they did not appear to value our business. Reception staff were chatting and left us waiting a long time to check-in, then queried our booking.com price. No dinner menu available, limited food options (remainders from the conference?) and the waiter was hardly to be seen. Requested an early breakfast, were advised none available till 8, but it actually started around 7. Such a pity, as it's a gem of a place.

We loved staying here in 2019 and chose to return as a result. The accommodation is simple with no TV but a very comfy bed and glorious surroundings makes this a special retreat experience. Staff were friendly and helpful. The downside was that on this visit we managed to coincide with a large and noisy conference group. Last time we loved the delicious local food and although the menu was not vast, there was adequate choice. On this occasion I think we were offered the conference menu only - and if veal was not your favourite, the options were very limited. Excellent Barbera wine. The walk up to the monastery is well worth doing although we drove as far as San Pietro before setting off. I would go again in the hope of being there with other travellers rather than being an add-on to a corporate event.
