Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaAfter reading the reviews we expected “charm” but, unfortunately, we didn’t find it. Unfortunately, we were in the room closest to the breakfast room so clanging noises and voices before 6am. No offer of help with luggage and front reception was not particularly friendly and spent most of the time on the phone. Naples, however, is very full on, in your face and amazing!
The location was the best thing about the property. Very central and walking distance to everywhere.

BulgariaWe were there only for a night and they gave us a very small room with almost no window with no place to turn around. However, as we were for 1 night only, it wasn't such a big deal.

TurkeyEverything was great!!
Location is great! Just center of everything! Breakfast is quite good, maybe variety of cheeses can be more but generally it is much better than most of the other places at this level. Personel is quite helpful! And that made me to think to stay in this hotel next time and I strongly recommend my friends to stay in this hotel! They saved our lifes :) by accepting to store our lugguages! Then we could go and stay near places with small bags. Also when we came back to Napoli for our last night; because of the price, we stayed in another place which is only a few meters away from Chiaja Hotel. Next day we had a very early flight and we needed taxi. The place that we stayed, did not help us about that but the reception of Chiaja Hotel called and reserved the taxi for us and they said in case we would have any problem do not hesitate to get in touch with them! Special thanks to all of the personel in the reception desk of Chiaja Hotel!!

Austriathe rooms were smelly the breakfast was ok. not a lot of variety if you like savory stuff in the morning. breakfast ends at 10:30 am but the staff doesn’t add missing food at 9:50 am. coffee was decent, nothing special. the staff was generally unfriendly. there were two receptionists who were friendly but other than that they are very disappointing.

United KingdomThe bathroom was so cramped you felt you were toiletting in the bedroom.
It looks kooky and unique . Its not. Its corporate and cold and packaged plastiv breakfast. Carton juice and no fresh fruit in the land of fruit. Plastic bath no blankets or enough pillows. You couldnt open the wardrobe door because of the bed. They cramp as many beds in as possible. No free water. And certainly not as much charm as the name suggests

United StatesThere wasn't really anything I didn't like about the hotel. It can be pretty warm in Naples (obviously) so the room can be a little warm at times but the windows are huge and let in a great breeze. Overall an entirely pleasant experience.
This hotel is so cute and so great! The rooms are a great value, the breakfast is decent, and the staff is wonderful. We needed to check in early and they had the room ready for us! Some of our favorite touches were the slippers they provided as well as the little coral charms. I would definitely stay here again.

United Statesthey promote them self as a medium-high structure but they definitely have low standards. the room has the bathroom below and the bed upstairs, connected by a staircase with way too high steps (not following the law regulations for the step high). the view was on a dirty cavedium. the shower head was incredibly dirty, as there was rust on the shower tray. the bedsheets had holes and balls of hairs were rolling on the floor.
the location it’s great

United StatesThe location was not optimal and was hard to find. Hotel needs better exterior signage. Hotel is not near train station or a metro stop. Staff did not want to call us a taxi to take to train station upon departure in pouring rain (said taxis were unreliable) but instead suggested she arrange a private transport costing at least 40 Euros. Then another departing couple asked her to call for a taxi to train station, she did so immediately without comment, so we asked her again to call us a taxi. We got our taxi in a few minutes, but we felt we were getting "targeted" to spend extra money.
Breakfast was gracious and had sufficient choices. Room seemed to have been updated recently but kept its old world charm, as well as the interior of the hotel.
