No elevator is understandable because it is a converted space, but it would have been nice to know ahead of time.

If you like a hotel with a bar & restaurant then this hotel is not for you. This is a hotel in a beautiful historical building, so you get exactly what you would expect, which is character & history, if you want modern, pristine 21st century, then this is not the hotel for you. If you like authentic, historical, genuine & local - I would recommend.

A fantastic location, walking distance from the Colosseum & opposite Circus Maximus The hotel does not have a restaurant, but there are some very good bars, cafes and restaurants just a few minutes walk. The room was clean, with all the facilities you need & the staff are really friendly & helpful.

the location was great near colosseum, and the outside of the hotel was incredible. we got the presidential suite for our room, which was insane! slept well in bed. the staff was really nice

The shower dial was all cracked and looked pretty naff. The shower itself was also too small. The sink was also scratched up.

Very well decorated, beautiful hotel. Very comfortable bed and slept fantastically. Courtyard is beautiful and our room looked down on it which was nice.

Best location and staff ever. We walked to most places from here, including the Vatican which is a slightly longer, but beautiful walk. Room is spacious and comfortable.

Lovely reception, clean and pretty room. Coffee and kettle in room. Very quiet (except for the neighbour shouting on her phone). I would definitely recommend!

Amazing location right in centre but not so over crowded not far from metro station! Big surprise on arrival is bottle of Prosecco ( it was birthday celebration) Plenty of Tv options to watch

The shower was tiny and the water pressure not great. But it did the job. The building is old which is full of charm but on the negative side you could hear any noise from the courtyard as the windows were not double glazed and the noise from the wine tasting was very loud and clearing up went on until well past 11pm which wasn't great when we had an early flight the next day.

Good location as we love to walk around a city to explore and it was within half an hour of all the major attractions. Also there was a bottle of Prosecco and chocolates in the room as it was my husband's big birthday on our second day there which was a lovely touch - thank you! The building is pretty and the courtyard is pretty too, Unfortunately we didn't get to sit in it as the hotel was hosting a wine tasting evening and it was very crowded with 100+ people who weren't staying at the hotel. It was a shame we didn't get notified of this but not a major problem.
