Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThis is a lovely, peaceful place to stay close to Vatican City. The room has windows on two sides of the room that open, and there is a window in the bathroom. The room is well laid out with closet space, hooks, a desk area, a small fridge, and a tea kettle with tea and coffee supplies. There is a common kitchen area that we did not utilize but most definitly would have, had we stayed longer.

JapanNone, everything is perfect!
The only thing that is very disappointing is that the maximum possible score is only 10 points. This facility definitely deserves 10x 100 points. For our elderly couple, choosing a comfortable accommodation for our trip to commemorate our 35th wedding anniversary was an extremely important element. The days spent in this wonderful and comfortable facility will last a lifetime. It was a memorable experience for us. This is a facility you would want to visit on your 50th wedding anniversary trip. We would like to once again thank our hosts for their wonderful hospitality and support. thank you very much. I wish you health and happiness. **************Tips************ 5 minutes walk to the entrance gate to St. Peter's Basilica When I got there around 6:30 in the morning, there were only about 20 people waiting, so I was able to climb up to the cupola in the first row!!!!

United StatesI had a wonderful experience at the bed and-breakfast in Rome Italy hosted by Francesca and Victoria. From the moment I arrived, they made me feel right at home with their warm hospitality and attention to detail. The charming atmosphere of the place added to the overall experience. A special mention to Maria, who is responsible for the upkeep and cleaning of the place. She did an excellent job ensuring that everything was spotless and well-maintained throughout my stay. Her dedication to maintaining a clean and welcoming environment did not go unnoticed. Overall, I highly recommend this bed-and-breakfast for a cozy and welcoming stay in Rome. The hostesses Francesca and Victoria, along with Maria’s exceptional service, truly made my visit memorable.

United KingdomWe were totally blown away by the top quality service we received from Vittoria and Francesca. The apartment was spotless, with all the facilities you could ask for and the complimentary food and drink was very generous. The communal space is lovely and the apartments are so peaceful. The location is perfect, right next to the Vatican and less than a 10 minute walk to the Metro where you can easily reach all of Rome’s top sights. Nothing was too much trouble at all and we would highly recommend this accommodation for anyone spending however much time in this beautiful city! We miss you already!

United KingdomWe were really pleasantly surprised by the location and how quiet this place was at night. St.Peter’s is literally around the corner,if you walk really slow it’s about a minute.Room is small, but -lefty enough for couple -we had one with huge terrace, which is about the size of room and bathroom together. There is no view apart from courtyard, but you really don’t need it as you would be out all day and there is so much to see everywhere in Rome.Vittoria and Francesca were amazing form the day we booked to the last minute we were leaving. They have recommended places to eat and we did try couple which were great. There are places to eat, drink or just have coffee everywhere we looked.Don’t expect that they will all be great, just because it’s Rome.Main attractions areas are very expensive and quality is variable, however places just few steps away are cheaper and quality and taste is amazing. We had amazing steak in Interno92,great selection of wine and amazing staff.Osteria Nuvolari for dinner is great,if you fancy carpaccio Passaguai bistro is great. Best pizza I’ve ever had was in Pinsa m po’ freshly made in 5mis and only 6€ per one.Deliziosso. We were really sad to leave and hoping to return to this amazing place.

RomaniaThis was my fourth trip to Rome, but we found the best possible accommodation. It is practically close to all important landmarks, 4 minutes to San Pietro. The room was big enough and spotlessly clean. The apartment offers a well equipped kitchen and also everything you need for a basic breakfast. However, the best thing were our hosts, Francesca and Vittoria, who were extraordinary. The kindest and most helpful hosts ever. Great place, great people!

United StatesEverything was great for my one-night stay. No complaints!
Francesca was an incredible host, and the room was perfect for a one-night stay. I had plenty of space as a solo traveler (would work well for a couple too). The location is perfect, in a quiet area of Prati. Francesca went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and had what I needed. I would stay here again on a future trip to Rome.

LatviaOur experience with the property was exceptional from the very first message on booking till very last minute of our stay in Rome. Ladies, Vittoria & Francesca, made us in Rome as at home. The room was exactly as in the photos, clean, nice and comfy. The cleaning was arranged daily, coffee and tea were available at all times, including corn flakes, light snacks and juices for breakfast. Everything is made with lots of love and care for the guests and their comfort. In regards to location : the property is ~7 minutes walk to Ottaviano metro station, ~5 minutes to Vatican museums and St.Peter’s Basilica, ~8 minutes to Castel Sant'Angelo. The neighborhood is quiet and safe (police station is located right next door), with selection of cafeterias, restaurants and grocery shops.
