How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The only thing that can be improved is shower accessories (body wash and hair shampoo)
Everything was exceptional, a beautifully renovated apartment with all required for a comfortable stay, including beach towels, freezer bags, air conditioner in both rooms etc. Walking distance to all the groceries, restaurants, beach and train station. The apartment is exactly as shown in the pictures. Would recommend it to my friends.

Nice clean apartment, very well equiped with more than we needed. Sofa was surprisingly good for sleeping. It was close to the beach and train station.

Everything was perfect! The apartment was the cleanest we've ever been in, really modern and nice. Everything we needed was there and even more like toys for kids, ball, digital scale, set of chargers, beach equipment, TV with Netflix and Disney plus access. Free beach was really near - just a few minutes of walk. Contact with the owners and information they gave us were super helpful. There was even a small bottle of wine and some sweet drinks and snacks for kids as a welcome gift. 100% recommend! Even the highest rate is not enough for this place!

A lot of nice restaurants and small markets in vicinity of location, bank, and beach. You can use electrical scooters and bikes to explore surroundings. Great facilities in apartment, clean and air conditioning in all rooms. Best place if you wish to explore Ostia area. Light walking to central bus/train station Lido Center is 10 minutes.

The location of the apartment was super. The sea was within walking distance. Grocery stores and a market was close by. This is the cleanest apartment I have ever booked. The apartment was super well scented and everything necessary for life is there. Lucrezia and Alessandro are very helpful. They have even prepared the guide with the most important information (use of equipment, grocery stores, beaches, etc.). We were very happy with everything. If we come to Italy again, we will definitely be in this apartment.

Everything was as described. - Good location to the beach, restaurant. - Clean and tidy apartment. - Good communications. - Lots of good surprises around the apartment (beach equipment, kids toys, phones chargers, even sewing kit 😂 if needed) We really enjoyed the stay. The apartment looks smart and modern. There is everything you need for your break. On top of that the owners are keen to help you if needed…

Great location close to the beach and nearby restaurants, ice cream and shops. I really liked the grocery market where you can buy fresh fish and other local products in good quality and price

We booked this apartment last minute as we looked for a place at the end of of our 1 month stay in Italy. The apartment is EXACTLY what you see in pictures and more. What you can’t see is the impeccable cleanliness, the amazing location (minutes to the beach, minutes to the best food market and steps away from one of the best “mercatino”) along with amazing hosts, Lucrezia and Alessandro. They are the nicest couple, who will go out of their way to accommodate you. We had not brought beach towels and they not only provided us with some but also purchased beach chairs for us to use! You will find everything you need (minus a potato peeler 😀) for your stay, including a dishwasher and washer/dryer. You will not go wrong renting this beautiful apt. We absolutely loved it and recommend it. Thank you Lucrezia and Alessandro for your excellent customer service and basically for being such wonderful people. Oh and by the way, thank you for recommending the restaurant Pizza in Piazza. We had their delicious pizza, supplis and arancinis. We hope to return and stay at Come a Casa!
