The beds were sturdy. There was a good, safe place to store your cell phone etc. for the night. The breakfast was excellent! (See picture.)

I liked everything, but they could offer ground coffee for the guests since it is not so convenient to buy ground coffee if you are staying for just a few days.

The place is fantastic. Everything is very cosy, and the common areas have a beautiful view of the city. The staff is super kind, and being able to leave our luggage and chill in the living room before the check-in time was a really positive surprise!

I loved the common area. It's extremly well decorated and there's enough space for everyone. I've worked from the hostel and would recommend it for any digital nomads stopping by for a few days to visit Trieste. Also, I loved the music throughout the hostel, it gave such a chill and comfortable vibe. Will need to come back. ☺️

Nothing. It's the loveliest hostel I have stayed in in years.

In a world where most hostels are HUGE, ContraVento is small and intimate, yet has better facilities, and lots of space, and the staff are adorable. It's the first hostel I have been in such a long time that is decorated with care, and love, and inspiration. It's the first hostel I can ever remember that has down duvets. The top bunks are super high, but that means you have adult size below! The building is fab, so is the location. It has a PROPER kitchen, properly equipped! In a word, it's fabulous.

I loved the building and the vibe. The staff were great especially Marta! The free breakfast was a bonus too! The place has a very cool design with a very homely feel. I’d definitely love to visit again!

There is not elevator,

An old apartment near harbor with street that have a lot of places to eat or drink, hostel with specious room and common area, and it’s clean and comfortable, breakfast is included.

If I would need to mention one thing that could be better I would say breakfast. But still, for the price of a stay, it is to be expected. I haven’t left hungry, anyway.

I like the whole vibe of a hostel. It is placed in a historic building but still managed to keep hip ambience. I felt very comfortable and actually prefer to spend some time in a lounge room rather than in some bar outside. They really put effort in decorating the space.

Great hostel with great location! Nice breakfast every morning. The women in the reception are very nice and helpful. Big rooms, comfy beds, nice showers. Everything is great! Also they let me keep the key after check out cause I had a late flight - very kind of them!

The location was in the centre of Trieste and a really cool and historic building. The staff was very kind and accommodating and they have a nice hangout living room. A spacious kitchen and good breakfast as well.

Floor in my room was rather squeaky - so a bit of a challenge not to wake my fellow roommates, loved everything else

The wooden floor squeaks a lot but you get used to it after a while.

Luisa is the best receptionist ever! such a sweet girl. I have to thank the hostel for the excellent service received during my stay. The premises are beautiful, cozy, and super clean. The living room great for chilling out. They have storage for the luggage. Good breakfast is included. WiFi works perfect

The top bunk beds are a little scary because they are tall, and there isn't enough support on them. Also the squeaky floors were bothering me because I was waking my roomates when I needed to leave the room

Dorms a bit noise at night, i.e by the street. But maybe other dorms are quieter.

Lovely staff who were knowledgeable about the city. Lounge was a nice place to chill. Breakfast was provided. Kitchen well quipped for cooking. Bag storage for early check-in / late check-out.
