Dinner at the hotel’s reastaurant was dissapointing. Would recommend finding another place to eat.

The atmosphere of the hotel is just amazing, as well as the service. We had a great time despite the fact it was raining non-stop. Heated outside pool and hot tub with a view was cherry on the top! Very clean and cozy rooms. Good breakfast made of fresh and good quality local products.

I chose the convent for my birthday to make it a special day and it was outstanding. Mariana made herself a fantastic cake for me. The atmosphere in an convent with all the history behind it as overwhelming. the personal tour by Mariana to show us her convent was a highlight. Once mor many thaks to Mariana and her staff for the excelent two days spent there.

We ordered a small bedroom and it’s very comfortable, quiet, clean and decorated with good taste. The tea they offered in the room was good quality. If you are visiting in winter , the building is so warm and staying in the hot water swimming pool and jacuzzi are the best thing to do(they were both clean and the temperature of water is perfect).You can also join the 30 mins free tour organized by the owner in the morning get to know more about this historic beautiful place.

It was just great, al the members of the staff are kind and helpful, breakfast was also good and the place is charming. The owner showed and explained us the history of the convent for 1 hour aprox and it was amazing. They even gave us a sample of their local honey, there were so many details and it’s such a different experience that I would recommend it to everyone.

Our stay at Convento San Bartolomeo was the highlight of our 6-day trip to Tuscany! Staying at this historic building is an experience of its own. We would like to take this opportunity and congratulate the owner and the employees of this hotel for doing such an amazing job. The restoration is spotless and made with respect to the building's identity but also with modern touches when necessary. You can tell that everything is done here with love and respect for the cultural history of the place. At the same time, the guests are welcome to enjoy every corner of the Convento. Last but not least, the service provided to the guests is exceptional! Delicious breakfast, dinner in the best room one can imagine, and a heated swimming pool and jacuzzi which was the cherry on top of an exceptional stay!

The walls are quite thin, so if the neighbours are noisy - they can be heard.

Atmospheric, quiet, quirky, sympathetically refurbished - the view and the swimming area are a dream. Food is like home cooked and a very good value too. We are hoping to go back.

Honest error on our part we believed we had booked 3 nights here on our Italian road trip. A phone call from Convento and a made dash back to pack cost us € 80 for a late checkout!

The jacuzzi was a little bit cold, as the pool was warmer than the jacuzzi.

The whole place is magical. You can almost hear the people who lived here before. The property is very well taken care of and the room was beautiful. We were in Italy to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary and Laura, treated us to a wonderful glass of bubbly! Dinner was wonderful and we are still talking about how this first stop of our holiday was wonderful Dinner was extremely good. Don't miss it! Thank you, Laura!

The outdoor and interior design of the property exceed the expectations and is way above what you can see in the pictures. There are small details in every corner and everything is made with quality materials and consistent with the historical background of the place. I loved every single thing, amazing dinner and breakfast, heated pool facing a typical Tuscan landscape, relaxing areas in the garden. I wish I could have stayed more to enjoy the facilitates and good energy that surrounds the place. I will definitely come back here.
