Our stay in Corte San Lorenzo was great. The location is very good cause it’s right in the Sassi but also very close to the outside of the city so perfect if you have a car and you need to park it. Our room was also great. Very tastefully decorated and fully equipped. Our hosts were adorable and they prepared us a very tasty breakfast every morning. The terrace on top of the house is amazing and beautiful with plants everywhere. I highly recommend staying here if you go to Matera.

We loved our room at Corte San Leonardo! Our host, Tina, is a wonderful person and was most helpful. Iva, her assistant, is also great and together they provided us with scrumptious food every morning. The location is excellent and has a nice view of the street. The room is quiet and very comfortable with an amazing shower.

Nothing! Well, to be picky, I'd like a bigger closet.

Our room was very clean, had lovely linens and was nicely decorated. The location was great and communication regarding parking was very helpful. Eva served a lovely breakfast each morning including gluten free items for me in the little courtyard. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay there again if we are ever lucky enough to go back to Matera.

That we didn’t stay longer !

This is the perfect location to stay in Matera. And the hosts and room went beyond our expectations ! May be a a bit easier if you don’t have a car but we found parking with a short walk. We were running late and Tina waited for us to arrive. Tina took the time to show us not only the room but explain the area and the major sights to visit. The room was very comfortable and the decor was enviable ! Breakfast was exceptional (I need to learn to cook an egg that way). We were lucky enough to spend some time in the evening on the terrace to relax and take in the beauty of Matera. I only wish Matera was not a one night stay over.

A bit hard to find as the numbers in the street were very mixed up (no cars, so there's a bit or way to drag your luggage over rough cobbelestones!) . The location was good - in the old center, but at the opposite end from the Duomo, so there's a bit of a walk to get to some of the places (but hey! this is Matera, so you'd better bring your hiking shoes, and work out on the starimaster...right!?). The location and function of the AC was not the best.

Loved the very warm, personal welcome. They wanted to do everything they could to ensure we were pleased. This is a small room in a very old building, but nicely modernized amenities. Bathroom was small but had what you needed - a good shower! Breakfast was excellent - delicious!
